The young man had every right to shoot the suspect. It was self defense. That man had no right to punch a woman like that, because of his action, he met his end prematurely. A man should never hit a woman.

Chicago administration is basically a cesspool filled with nincompoops. The mother and son were the victims in this case. The suspect here is the fool who tried to punch the woman. No matter how irritated you are, there is no excuse to start punching. Just leave the restaurant if she is being a jerk, or verbally let her know what you are feeling. That is it. You are not permitted to do anything more.
Society has gone nuts in Democratic countries. Sense of entitlement, anger issues, acting out, victimhood, disrespect for authority, uncaring attitude toward law and order, cheating, thieving, looting, shooting, etc. is prevalent and over the top. A renewed sense of duty, respect for authority, respect for the elderly, caring for others and purpose in life is necessary. As religion loses its grip on the society, we need to replace it with a more reasoned set of morality. Perhaps it is not possible without a diktat from a fictitious supreme being. Most people are too stupid to come up with a reasonable set of rules on their own. They need to be told how to behave. They are indeed the proverbial sheep that need to herded like a flock by priests/leaders. Very unfortunate.
