Trojan was spotted by #USC students Eden Weinblut and Lindsay Gibson, and they knew he needed help. He was very hungry, but he was too scared to allow them to help him.
Loreta Frankonyte and I headed out right away, we were told that Lindsay is keeping an eye on him, and Eden was also heading toward the rescue location – this was going to be a team effort.
This rescue was tricky – a lot of students around, a nervous dog, a huge campus, noisy construction, and in an effort to keep him around, Lindsay kept feeding him, so by the time we got there, he wasn’t really hungry anymore. Loreta rushed to the campus cafeteria to get a fresh cheeseburger – I hoped he wouldn’t be able to resist that.
The actual capture went smoothly, a simple textbook rescue 🤓👍
What we didn’t know is that this Trojan horse was waiting for us to let our guard down so he could escape. In his first attempt to escape, he knocked Loreta to the ground, but she got back on her feet and managed to get a #LuckyLeash around him. Then he tried to trick us so we would let our guard down again, and when that didn’t work, he tackled Loreta again and bit her multiple times! 😰

Frost is a pretty pup. A shepherd mix from the looks of it. His owners are lucky to get their baby back.
Loretta should do these rescues without the guy. He makes it way more difficult, stresses me out! It's too violent.

EVERYBODY should be wearing gloves and it's MUCH easier to throw a big blanket over a dog that to try to scoop it up with your bare hands. These are wonderful people but they keep making STUPID mistakes. They would do themselves a big favor by getting portable fence sections to block the animals escape routes. They're made of light weight plastic and they're cheaper than getting bitten. They make this elementary mistake ALL the time. Be SMART, people!

This dog really goes crazy
That dog was far more excited to see his owners than the owners were to see him. The guy just stood there while the dog was jumping all over him. Give him some more loves!

Perhaps people should stop jumping your dogs in the backyard, especially during Fourth of July. You can’t do that even if your dog does not have fences during Fourth of July they might just do that just from getting scared when a firework goes off that’s why I wish they were legal I cannot believe that they sell them still and allow it in neighborhoods it’s infuriating
Aww so sweet to see him open up and be happy again when he realised that you had managed to reunite him with his dad! You can tell he was so grateful!
Just an observation,maybe lower the nervous energy and they may not get so frightened.
