  1. when did people start putting those horrible clothes on dogs? i had dogs all my childhood, in to my adult life, and not once was there a dog wearing flannel. i cant understand a orange vest during hunting season, but why put all that nonsense on them, i live in a cold part of the country & its not needed.

  2. Bless
you for adopting this retired racer. He had no idea that there was a wonderful world out there for him to see and smell.

  3. This is a beautiful story. These poor dogs can be severley abused and ive seen one that had been stabbed in the foot and kept in a metal cage because he wouldn't run. Yet they are so gentle. Beautiful dogs. And you have looked after him so well. Your patience too. Wonderful. ❤

  4. When a dog has never lived in a house, they do not know how to react. My rescue had never lived in a home, walked on the grass, rode in a car etc. Teo years in now and its been a great turn around. Thank you for being such an angel!!

  5. After watch a few videos of horrible things that ppl are doing, its sooo good to see there is still alot of kindness in this world.. ❤

  6. Paul lives in my neighborhood. He is always dressed to the nines, and is a very, very good boy. Loves to meet new people, say hi and share his bbq at parties!

  7. How long did it take for Paul to stop being so scared? I brought a new foster into my home 3 weeks ago – a rescue from Barbados and she is terrified of everything. Her worst fears are associated with my poor husband: he's basically hiding himself away from her. She and I are living on the 2nd and he's on the ground floor – whenever she hears him moving around (and it's an open concept home), she goes on high alert. She tolerated him at first but the past few days, things have been spiraling downward and out of control. Last night and this morning, he ventured up here and she was so scared, she peed all over the place. Can't live like this indefinitely. I watched this video of you guys and Paul and was looking for a bit of hope. Great job with him – kudos!

  8. So much like my greyhound[s]. Sad face until they realise they have dropped on the good times! And everyone who has or had a greyhound or greyhound-lurcher knows the zoomies is good fun. It's great to see them smile and be so happy. Funny when they are roaching, it's a sign that they feel comfortable, happy and feel safe.

  9. I had a pitbull greyhound mix. The most loving dog ever. She was named Lovie because she was. Loves to run and fast. I wish him all the love in the world. Good luck baby♥️♥️♥️

  10. I had a greyhound from an organization that found homes for racing greyhounds in Connecticut. He was extremely timid, and I had to teach him how to go up and down steps. His eyes were very bad, as I’m told is the case with many dogs with such narrow heads. He was freaked out by striped crosswalks. The vet told me that they look like they are strobing to him.

  11. That's what love and encouragement does to a dog. I've had two dogs from shelters, one was a former show dog (Airedale terrier) and one a former street dog (Picardy shepherd / terrier mix). They both were unfamiliar with anything beyond walking shows / surviving respectively. With each it took about a year before they'd fully developed their personality once they did, there was no stopping them. They both became really confident and, as a result, really relaxed. It always makes me angry when people say "it's just an animal" when they clearly have strong personalities.

  12. i hate how these people do the very basic stuff that every ….EVERY..dog owner does…but they set it to twinkly music and act like they are heroic saints. eff em all

  13. I have 2 retired girls in Sydney but one has 3 legs. I trying to keep them happy but its so tough. She loves us time. Its amazing but how we can keep one girl happy not sad…..
