  1. The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens.

He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, And has stretched out the heavens at His discretion.

When He utters His voice, There is a [c]multitude of waters in the heavens: And He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth.

He makes lightning for the rain, He brings the wind out of His treasuries.

Everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge; Every metalsmith is put to shame by an image; For his molded image is falsehood, And there is no breath in them.

They are futile, a work of errors; In the time of their punishment they shall perish.

The Portion of Jacob is not like them, For He is the Maker of all things, And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance; The Lord of hosts is His name.

  4. More extreme weather from climate change. What could each of us do about it? Going vegan is the single most effective way for each of us to minimize our environmental footprint.
"According to the most comprehensive analysis of farming’s impact on the planet, plant-based food is most effective at combatting climate change. Oxford University researcher Joseph Poore, who led the study, said adopting a vegan diet is “the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth.”

“A vegan diet is probably the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth, not just greenhouse gases, but global acidification, eutrophication, land use and water use. It is far bigger than cutting down on your flights or buying an electric car,” he explained, which would only reduce greenhouse gas“Avoiding consumption of animal products delivers far better environmental benefits than trying to purchase sustainable meat and dairy,” he added.”. -Joseph Poore, Environmental Science Researcher, University of Oxford.

Joseph Poore switched to a plant based diet after seeing the results of the study.

  5. And to think this country is full of people that don’t believe in climate change lol. They all mostly are completely uneducated and believe everything a golfer tells them, but still lol. Imagine that level of willful ignorance.

  6. Graduated from college in northeast Vermont. Had the time of my life with many cherished memories. RIP Pamela. This flood hasn't left my mind but am hopeful this will pass. 🙏

  7. I’m in VT and it’s so weird to see our little state in national news. The flooding is very bad. We’ve had floods before but I’ve never seen the water this high up here. It’s Pretty scary

  8. Boiling water is a horrible idea, it turns the fluoride into a very toxic substance , you’d be better off drinking straight fluoride

  9. This just happened at the worst possible time. I was going to come here on my trip in the Northeast July 17, now This will probably ruin the end of my trip

  10. So sorry to see this happen. Hubby & I were in Montpelier several years ago and, as we walked on the walkway up to the Capitol, there was a marker showing where and when the highest water level occurred. It was shocking! Here’s wishing you the best and hopes for a quick clean up.
