  1. You are quite a pretty talker ! talk too much. As trying to influence others Self defense learners in your own world. You just jealous other martial artists

  2. Wow. I've never heard that much real info in less than 30 seconds before! This is ideal for anyone new to self-defense. It's almost like you have a doctorate in self defense and you teach it or something! 😁😁😁

  3. My old martial arts teacher's self-defence stuff really emphasised this — things go wrong, and people will often do things you don't expect.

    Examples:
    – You drill defending against someone mouthing off at you & opening up with a haymaker. You get really good at stepping in & jamming/blasting the arm. In a real fight, the guy opens with a left-handed haymaker. Turns out you didn't train the defence against both arms equally and it takes you by surprise.

    – Instead of punching you, they grab your t-shirt with one hand (pulling you off balance) and punch you using the other. The first time this happened in training, I basically had no idea what to do, as my internal 'playbook' was thrown out of the window. Grabbing someone's shirt is not a particularly effective tactic, but it was enough to scramble my brains until I learned how to deal with it.

    – They try to grab your throat with both hands (again easy to defend against if you know what to do, but … if you don't, you'll panic).

    etc.

We drilled a lot of this by defending against each thing (on both sides where applicable) and it became a lot easier. It no longer became a scripted encounter, more like an if-this-then-that autopilot mode. The golden rule was always "look out for trouble and get ahead of it", though — something you also preach.

  4. Some people think that wingchun master's movement is real 😂😂😂
Dude, it's choreographed… street fight never happens like that, even mike tyson never hit his opponent like that ..

  5. Your right but these self defense classes teach you Hollywood catas to earn each belt. A black belt is basically someone with a great memory of synchronized moves.

  6. Your videos are SOOOO much better than that guy who claims to teach disarm techniques but who’s really just gonna get people killed.

  7. Everybody comes on here and says– " you have to do this- you have to do that"– and very few of them have ANY idea what the hell they're talking about– and I catch hell for my opinions– which- are just like everyone else's. We ALL have opinions- they're like aholes– and they all sTINK.. because All you can do is ALL you can do– and there is NO such thing as being prepared, or trained for EVERY possible situation– it's just NOT going to happen… and it comes down to AWARENESS– and as Miyagi says– BEST DEFENSE- NO BE THERE!!!"

  8. AMEN– there IS NO planning for a street fight. You do the best you can do- and MAYBE you'll make it. MOST of the ones I've seen or know of- caught the person totally by surprise and they never even saw it coming– and did NOT survive. Some did- but just pure luck..

  9. I am by no means a bad ass but I stopped practicing Karate after I earned my purple belt. Then I boxed for a little over 8 years. In all my experience and training I know one thing is for sure! If your a pussy and then train and become a black belt that makes you a pussy with a black belt! And foremost never plan on how your going to fight with someone! It NEVER EVER goes the way you planned! Always expect the unexpected, if you think a fight is going to happen and you have no way of de-escalating the fight always expect the worse odds to be against you! Be prepared to get jumped or have a weapon pulled on you. If it doesn't happen well, that's all well and good. But no matter your level of training or experience always run away from a fight if you can! You have nothing to prove to anyone. But if your cornered or a loved one is being assulted then by all means do what you must to protect the ones you love and yourself!

  10. So … I imagine you also believe I can’t save myself by jumping up at the last minute, as an elevator crashes, right? ** keep a weapon handy.

  11. people watching too many japanese cartoons like Baki, thinking that a manga is going to explain street fighting theory properly or that we just need to know this one simple trick to be able to fight an unpredictable maniac who might have a knife, gun, or whatever.

  12. How 'conventional' is the thinking of the attacker?
    They may just be crazed.

Any comment on this highlight WC practioner regularly adopting a crouched stance Sifu, which is conventional to a broadband of martial arts?
