  1. I once used to rehab injured and orphan birds. After a while you actually find comfort in NOT cuddling them or handling them beyond feeding and cleaning. Because you know they're going to be safer in the wild with their aversion to humans in-tact. It's hard to release imprinted animals because a lot of times they will stick around or search for people to get their needs met. Non-domestic species sometimes CAN thrive in captivity, but only in special circumstances. Like if they had a permanent injury or disease and you have the time/space/enrichment/proper diet… and permits you got last Monday 😂

  5. There isn't a pre-emptive rabies vaccine for humans. The human rabies vaccine is a long course of multiple inoculations that are only given in the event of an actual(or suspected) exposure, because it does NOT work preemptively like the feline and canine vaccines.
