Sub's carbon-fiber composite hull was the 'critical failure,' James Cameron says
Spread The Viralist

Renowned Hollywood director and Titanic researcher James Cameron said he believes the carbon-fiber composite construction of the submersible’s hull was the “critical failure” that led to its implosion during a deep-sea tour of the Titanic wreckage.

“You don’t use composites for vessels that are seeing external pressure. They’re great for internal pressure vessels like scuba tanks, for example, but they’re terrible for external pressure,” Cameron, who famously directed the Oscar-winning film “Titanic,” told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos in an interview Friday on “Good Morning America.” #titanic #submersible #news

  1. The CEO must've thought that carbon fiber is a good material for making subs due to it's use in cars and planes, only to be proven wrong when he himself went down with his own prized creation

  2. So it looks like common sense won again… Now let's look at back at Hunter Biden because this is a story trying to take the spotlight off of that we need the sunshine back on Hunter Biden and Joe Biden obviously

  3. Honestly, wrapping some chain around your waist and holding your nose, is actually SAFER than diving with Ocangate…. engineers my ….@ss

  4. Who would have imagined that regulations around safety and engineering in extreme environments MIGHT JUST HAVE A POINT TO THEM!? Clearly the CEO of OceanGate never could imagine that – that maybe, just maybe, just perhaps…. when experts create regulations they might not be entirely nonsense.

  5. Stockton had characteristics of a narcissist…grandiose, easily lied, and narcissists are never wrong (everyone else is).

  6. ABC is so fake. The real story is how Biden's govt knew about the implosion hours after the sub went missing but held that info in order to let the story run wild and distract the populace with an impossible rescue scenario. They had to give the fake news media something to cover instead of the special treatment given to Hunter Biden by the DOJ on his firearms charges, or the 6.2 BILLION DOLLAR accounting "error" that stole our taxes… funny huh?

  7. Perhaps the sub accidentally hit the buttocks of a giant whale so that the giant whale got angry and slapped the sub until it broke apart.

  8. What do those kinds of pressures do to a human body? In guessing it would crush your chest st the very least. Maybe crush your eyes idk horrible

  9. Yabut, if the Navy heard the implosion, why did they keep from 100s of millions of people in USA, Canada, and 100s of millions around the world? Man, this govt. is so corrupt. Well at least it took off some heat from Hunter. Oh dear. 😮

  10. Well it definitely failed …but you have no idea what failed first.

Could have been the acrylic window that was known not to be rated for the depth….

Here's what this guy didn't understand….sizeable safety factors are necessary because there's defects in fabrication and materials.

Codes and standards… All came into being because of the School of hard knocks….. Previous failures… They were written with blood

  11. They should not go Down There in the first place. No man's sea. Way They not REPORT Straight away. Sub is NOT fit for the sea. Lost of questions to be answered someone should be hold responsible. Thay Breach Health and safety. So a Lawsuit have to be brought against the Company.

Sub is only good to be in my swimming pool. NOT sea.
    Thanks

  12. Fools.Swear they Soo innovative and futuristic and used the wrong materials.. Remember black people the dummies folks !!??
