  1. Unfortunately cats in shelters are frequently misjudged since they aren't socialized while they are there, unless the shelter has volunteers focusing on this. Any cat could be "overlooked" because of "age", since again people are choosing the younger cats more frequently. Again this is unfortunate. Cats are misunderstood and misjudged primarily in shelters. Communicating with one's cat is vital to developing relationship. Guiding them with affirming words and actions. We watched this here. Cats are extraordinary emotional support/therapy animals, however we their caregiver/parent are responsible for communicating vocally every day we can to bring out their potential. It's there in every cat and kitten.Give them a few minutes of recognition and affirmations every day. I call it "Mutual Rescue". LOVE. God Bless

  2. Give both at least 30 days to get used to each other. This is how I introduced my two cats to each other. Another way to foster togetherness is rub both with each other's scent. Let them sniff each other too. Don't force togetherness, let them work on it. Remember Tequila is King of your house. He see's Chou as an intruder into his space. They'll eventually connect. I hope it works out you can adopt Chou. She's a sweet kitty.

  3. "If you are asleep, why are you still meowing?" <‐– Because cats dream when they sleep, so why wouldn't some cats also talk in their sleep too?? 🤭🤭💖

  4. I kept writing to you that I’m interested in this cat. But I’m in New York City and I just heard that you’re in Bucharest. I didn’t know that. When I watched the video before I didn’t hear you say where you are. I really wanted to adopt the little cat in this video and give her the beet home.

  5. FYI…That is a "Snowshoe" cat. They are very intelligent, affectionate and vocal. We had one and he was more like a dog than a cat. He bonded with us very quickly. It is a wonderful breed but very suspectable to illness so make sure its vaccinations are always current.

  6. Awww so glad when cats find a home….we have a stray cat who is in a cat pen in my friends small garden as she does some rescue work…she hasnt been very successful in getting a home yet, altho she is so beautiful…we are hoping she will get a chance for her forever home very soon, its so heartbreaking when they dont have a home of their own,or are penned up….i would adopt her in a flash but my rescue dog has had a traumatic past and is absolutely terrified of any other animals…. i would wish for happy homes for every little animal that is searching.

  7. they will get used in a few days, usually a good way is to put them in separate roomswith a door between, thy will be very curious and smell each other but even if you don´t do this they will get along.

  8. Understand, from an Old School Cat person, the growling is normal and will pass. Understand, TAQUILA is simply letting the new cat know: This is MY house…you can stay if your cool but, I was here first…Next thing you know, they will be cuddling together sleeping once both accept the facts of the house, etc.

  9. I would keep them both.
Not all cats love each other.
Was Tequila a singleton? They generally don't like but one person, whoever they imprint on first.
    Enjoy your servitude.

  10. I have four 14yr old cats & a yr ago a 1yr old tabby was dumped & since i never turn away a stray took him in got him neutered & vacs. My cats werent happy at first but now a yr later they get along

  11. i would adopt another snowshoe in a second. they smell very good ( sory for the Joe Biden vibe) and they love their human alot.
