My story: I was holding a child on a boogie board. She had on bright pink water shoes. She screamed something bit my foot. I pulled her out & said it was probably a crabπ¦ She was so upset & wanted out of the water. There was a tiny indent in her rubber bottomed shoe. I went back in the water & saw an oceanic white tip swim in a quick circle & then it disappeared. I told the lifeguards. The told me it was probably a dolphin. I said I know what I saw, I studied Oceanography at Penn State U. 15 min later they spotted it & called everyone out of the water. This was at Stone Harbor Beach, NJ.

This has got to be one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. 1. It's poly carbonate, granted a very strong material but it's only as strong as it's weakest points and it's pretty obviously glued together since you cannot see any reinforcements at the joints. 2. It is a clear material, of course the shark isn't going to see it until it's too late. 3. I don't see any backup failsafe. The guy literally had to swim for his life.
