Rocky’s condition was the worst I’ve ever seen but I saw he had fight in his eyes and I agreed to take him. Our pack walk was the first time in his life he’d ever walked on grass ❤️

  1. 8:45.. unfortunately alot of rescues and veterinarians are quick to call a dog aggressive if they aren't totally passive.. not all dogs exactly the same, especially dogs that have had it rough…either abused or have had to fend for themselves

  2. God bless you gentleman for your tireless efforts to rescue Rocky who must have endured a lot of pain suffering after being locked by devil owner but you angel did your best to regain his health but dispite surrounded by Matilda and other very best dogs yet this baby was in state of confusion because he must have not seen other dogs before but 70 % of his healthis improved and I pray this babyto be fully recovered physically and mentaly

  3. I adopted a dog like that… He had heart worm and other issues.
The lady at the shelter said to me " why do you want him ?, he'll be back here in a week" my husband and I nursed him back to health.
He was the most beautiful affectionate big boy we ever had…
Love cures a lot of disease!

  4. Rocky’ got such a beautiful facial expression and lovely eyes. Blessings to you for giving him a chance . A tragic story with , hopefully, a happy ending. He will love you like the Pack and we all do soon.🙏❤️

  5. What a horrible owner. Working dogs should not be kept in a kennel over 90% of the time. They should be taken out for at least 3 mile walks every day and allowed to have a good run at a park!
Criminal what happened to this dog. 😢

  6. I just don't get people sometimes. How could they do that to such a beautiful dog. Rocky is so lucky to have found you. He already knows that he is going to be takeh care of by you. I have a 3 legged Husky and she is just amazing. A local breeder told me that I could just have her and she hasn't left my side now for 7 years! She's just the best!

  7. Don't listen to Vets. They can be idi/ts too. Look at the dog's reaction and his Will to live and you'll know that he will make it!! You are an amazing earth angel Usher. ❤️❤️❤️

  8. Rocky was in danger of refeeding syndrome. We have rescued dogs in as bad or worse shape. The key is easily digestible fortified high calorie protein/ fed in small amounts 5-6 times a day to 1-2 weeks, then gradually increasing to twice daily feedings.
We utilize a vet prescribed tube concentrated nutrient, yogurt (to restore gut probiotic balance), scrambled eggs, canned salmon/tuna, boiled chicken, cooked rice, bone broth.

NO DOG KIBBLE! No canned dogfood!
Just high quality basic human quality protein with a natural fat content. Later, we introduce masked potato, pumpkin if queasy, and cubes of cooked sweet potatoes mixed in fir mor calories and vitamins.
Mostly, we are watching for signs of intestinal obstruction, liver problems (yellow bile, yellowing of gums/skin/eyes), pancreatic insufficiency (hereditary), or disease such as distemper/parvo.

New animals need to be ISOLATED from the rest if the pack until HEALTHY. 14-21 days if vaccine history is unknown

  9. Too many dogs introduced at one meeting. We call this flooding. It overwhelms the new dog. It is better to do a few dogs at a time, find a dog that the new dog demonstrates a bond to/an ease of communication.
I am glad this rescue took him, but Huskies are not known for AGGRESSION. I rescue Huskies and have 8. This breed needs/wants both dog/human relationships and is best in a group of dogs/pack oriented.

  10. What is wrong with people. I save a dog over a human anydqy..it is PATHETIC how people treat animals that are supposedly theirs

  11. You have a kind heart ,animals are innocent , the ones who abuse Gods creatures are evils , May God bless you for caring for them 🙏🏽❤️

  12. What can I say, Lee you are the best. Loving these animals the way they should be loved. Rocky will certainly thrive beautifully in your loving care.

  13. Dogs just sense the love and compassion that radiates from this man…like wow hallelujah knowing folk like you exist. We live in a world where sadly half of it have no emotional empathy for others including animals. My heart popped yet again Lee thankyou.

  14. Wow for anyone who treats a dog the way Rocky was treated should be in jail. I was almost in tears seeing how he was when you picked him up and took him home. All I wish for him and all your animals is that they live long and healthy lives.
