In God's name why doesn't the American government simply NOT ALLOW the building of matchstick houses? Why all the injuries and deaths which could quite simply be avoided. The governors are responsible, the President is responsible. Why doesn't ONE news anchor highlight the reason for all this damage? I'm British, and we only build with bricks and mortar!

At what point will it take for politicians and city leaders in every town in Missouri and tornado ally in general for them to start making it mandatory that every town have a public tornado shelter for people to go. This has happened far too often. I had a conversation with one city planner in the town I live in and that individual made every excuse possible to explain why they don’t have a public tornado shelter. To me that’s BS a politicians job is to do what needs done and not what will make them richer. We need tornado shelters for those people who don’t have them and can’t afford to buy them because they are a luxury item that most people barely getting by will never be able to afford. It’s up to government to get off its lazy ass and do its job and stop making excuses. If politicians can have mansions luxury boats and expensive fridges they damn well can afford to build public tornado shelters.
