  1. Lovely work on displaying one of the most iconic and infamous villains in video games. Also a complex, interesting character on its own! This series is simply amazing.

As far as the 3 characters go:
1 > Tseng – I changed my pick for this one. I mean, Zack & Hojo seem like the obvious picks but I think Tseng has more influence in the story than we usually remember. It could be a fun character to go in depth.
2 > Freya – 'Cause she's one of my favourite female characters of all time.
3 > Solid Snake – So many big names in the MGS franchise I'd like to see you tackle but had to be my pick.

Also, I'd like to give an honorable mention to Crash Bandicoot. I didn't pick him for nº3 just because i think Crash would be a different type of in-depth analysis. It would be a different approach, more about its influence in gaming and on the PS1/Sony but something I think you could find interesting to take on.

    Thanks for the great content!

  2. While the name Hojo (宝条) isn't very popular, there are around 20-30 people in Japan registered with it as their family name and they are mostly found in the Ibaraki and Gunma prefectures. This family name might be a rare version of the much more common 北条 (same pronunciation).

  3. My god. I hate the compilation so much. genesis showing up that scene of the sephiroth in the mako reactor kills the mood so much. It destroy the drama. That garbage character.

  4. Death, please do an analysis on Jecht, I really think he is probably one of the most complex characters in the Final Fantasy series. Not only from a traditional hero/villain perspective but also from a very human perspective, being a father who has a hard time showing affection and care. Btw, I love this series man, keep it up, probably one of my favorites to watch out of your videos. Keep it up man.

  5. Another stellar FF7 video.

    1. I think the Turks would be a great subject to discuss, but there a ton of great characters to look into. I'd be interested to see more about Nanaki's family, though there might be more entertainment value in Cloud's and Sephiroth's.

    2. Vivi! Vivi! Vivi!

    3. Might be a bit niche, but the cast of Killer7 wouls be amazing.

  6. Wasnt expecting an in depht look video, I undestand a little bit more Sephiroth given the original game being a Ps1 game, doesnt lend itself for many details.

For Future in depht look videos i suggest

You already said you are doing Cloud, so another ff7 character, I would say maybe Shinra the company as a whole maybe

For other FF characters, the 10 and 9 characters are really interesting, but i would say Auron

And any videogame character, if I were to stay Rpg well maybe Shulk from Xenoblade, and if not, Dante from Devil may cry, I don't know of you like dmc or even played it, but in any case you are interested, those would be my suggestions

  7. I gameovered in the flashback

I was using a action replay and as soon as the fight started sephiroth is dead

You die against the dragon but it quickly cuts back to cloud talking but when you start the flash back again it's game over

  8. Eagerly awaiting the Cloud in depth

    1. Reeves (idr if he was covered under cait sith, my memory is bad)
    2. Cactuar (sp?)
    3. Bass from the Megaman series

  9. These are my fan requests for future In depth look videos
    1) Lucrestia. Can you explain to me why she hooked up with Hojo and not Vincent? Was she raped? Did she get on top of the creep and say 'this is for science?'
    2) could you cover Garland and Choas from FF1? Are they the same person? Did Garland become Choas?
    3) Xeanort. Can you make Xeanort in all his incarnations and wierd boss fights make sense?

  10. Jenova-Omega theory sounds very plausible. This concept was explored both in Spirits Within (literally this – alien planet gaia) and FF9 with Gaia and Terra merger.

  11. well if we're giving suggestions;
    1. Zack seems like the obvious one for 7
    2. Sabin would e my first suggestion for branching out to other mainline games
    3. To keep it with Square, Billy Lee Black from Xenogears would fit perfectly in this style. and Gears deserves love considering it could have been ff7.

  12. I’ve always noticed a strange logical fallacy within Sephiroth’s plan to use meteor. He wanted to use it to create a giant wound in the planet just so he can absorb the Lifestream gushing there and become a god…

But during those 5 years in between Crisis core and the original, Sephiroth was already in the Lifestream. Can’t he just absorb it all??

Or that the North Crater itself is already a giant wound. So why can’t Sephiroth use that instead?

  13. Very fun to watch later big boss from MGS will be awesome and I think a lot of people will object to it no matter what you post 🤣🤣

  14. The complexity of this whole final
Fantasy 7 story that was created way back in the 90’s is extremely impressive.

  15. Wow, great video. Amazing how I continue learning new things about FF7 26 years after release.

    1. Rufus
    2. Steiner
    3. Vergil (from Devil May Cry)

  16. Great episode, I really love these.
    1) Hojo ( the real villain of FF7)
    2) Ramza (FF Tactics)
    3) Crono (Chrono Trigger)
