5. God bless Elvis. Just been thinking about him and that for all his years locked on the chain promoting so much boredom & suffering; but now we all celebrate his escape and peace because we can feel his joy when he can now walk and enjoy himself and just be a happy, healthy dog. So lovely and gratifying to see him walk about with his ears up. He doesn't seem to be very affectionate, and some dogs just aren't and that is ok! But we KNOW he is having the time of his old life.

6. Dogs, even old dogs, are so resilient. I'm glad his future days seem bright! Thank you Takis for never giving up on dogs like him!

16. I think once Elvis adds some weight and his body has a chance to become healthier he will get stronger and better. Yes he is old but now has freedom, friends, love and good food. You can see he wants to live and enjoy his freedom and friends.

    He probably has arthritis that feels better with movement. Being chained was the worse constant aching for him. Thank you Takis and team for all you do – BRAVO!.

32. I am waiting for Elvis's first tail wag–his muscle wasting in the area that allows him to wag, seem still to be too weak to support a happy wag.

    But as we see his haunch muscles growing like crazy from all his perambulating– surely the tail wag muscles must be on the verge!!! Ha.

33. He is stretching the back legs now. I stick with my comment a week ago that he will be doing trots in a few weeks.

37. Es bricht mir das Herz. Die Vorstellung, dass er womöglich als Welpe schon an die Kette gelegt wurde und jetzt, 19 Jahre später, erst ein Leben kennen lernt, dass er, wäre er woanders gewesen, hätte führen können… Sooo traurig 😔 Trotzdem schön, dass er jetzt bei Takis ist. Zum Glück ist er ein Hund und kein Mensch, der sich jetzt solche Gedanken machen würde, was er alles verpasst hat.
