She was killed but rescuers were able to save her miracle baby. The rescue comes as the death toll from those devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria surpasses 7,000. Now, 160 U.S. Specialists in earthquake search and rescue are heading to Turkey to help.

Sometimes it feels so incredibly hopeless when we witness these tragedies on our planet, but to see that baby be born in the midst of that rubble, despite his mother dying, is a true miracle. I hope that, despite a terrible beginning, the the rest of his life is bright and hopeful. <3 RIP to his mother.
