  1. I don't understand the ending. It looks like Sir Guy reaches for his knife with his left hand, swings it around and tries to stab Robin but misses, and then Robin grabs it and pushes Gisbourne away. He grabs it with his left hand, and his sword is in his right. Yet in the shot where Gisborne is stabbed, Robin is holding his sword with his right hand and the knife is nowhere to be seen. Did I miss something here?

  2. This proves errol flynn was the best Robin Hood ever and he was born for that role and basil rathbone was the best guy of gisbourne and also the best sherlock Holmes ever I was surprised he was born in South Africa 🇿🇦 not England with that first name of his RIP to both of them brilliant memories of that film they gave us 💯👌👍🙏

  3. Fun fact: Basil Rathbone actually taught Errol Flynn to sword fight but before they did Robin Hood. They did Captain Blood together first and that's where he taught him to begin with. Basil was a great swords man at the time

  4. To anyone who knows anything about medieval fencing, the fighting looks a bit ridiculous, because broadswords aren't used like rapiers.

Still, it's the best and most pure-spirited Robin Hood movie made to this day. 🙂
