  1. "I googled 'what to do with a stray duck'" Love that line lol. You are both big sweethearts! Also, for anyone who needs to hear this: You can get diapers that are made for ducks!

  2. What is the point of these useless wildlife rescues (the government funded kind- especially in Canada)? I've run into situations where I have reached out for assistance on an injured animal only to be told there was nothing they could do or if they did pick it up they would probably just euthanize it. It always takes good hearted people to step in and help. We really have to question what they do with our tax dollars. This man is a hero!

  3. I raised 8 ducklings after some jackass ran over their mama. I fed them cooked rice but cooled with peas and occasionally cat food mixed in and I kept them in a chicken wire fence enclosure I made in the back yard with a 20$ Walmart kiddy pool. They never imprinted on me, seem they just cared about food and having the most dominant control of the pool. The ducklings were even really aggressive which surprised me because they were so small and cute. I kept them till their feathers came in and removed the enclosure so they could roam my backyard freely and over the course of a few months they dissappeared one by I one. I didn't know much about ducks I just figured if I could make friends with feral cats I could be a duck mom.

  4. 🌟❤🐥I raised 2 Ducklings named Goldie and Gilligan who I miss terribly along with their dad my ex boyfriend unfortunately. Well this story warms my heart and so does the baby goose video you uploaded recently as well who got reunited with his family by those great guys. I'm ready as I watch this and that too but especially this one now since I had ducklings and miss them like a mom. Time is super fast and very precious. Please always remember to fully pay attention and listen to your loved ones to avoid losses and always get full knowledge, supplies and the right home setup before you have ducks because it's just as hard as taking care of a human baby but they grow fast and become hard to take care of unless you have a coop that's well protected from predators. If you want one that will follow you and loves being cuddly and petted than you must only get 1 as a new born so it thinks it's human and that you are it's parent. It's best to get one after it hatched and sees you first. If you buy one in a group of ducks it will be 50/50 probably but if you get two like we did than they will always quack and be on alert. They won't see themselves as human and know you aren't like them. So get one hatched in an incubator if you want to raise one as a baby, your child but be fully prepared that you will be on duty almost 24 hours a day lol. They can live for 9 years if it is a Peking Duck for example like my two. ❤🐥🐥❤

  5. Thank you so much for being the man you are! Kind and compassionate. I am worried though, so maybe somebody can answer this – since the duck was domesticated, and seemed to imprint on this lovely man, is he OK on a farm by himself? I didn’t see any other ducks hanging around him, and I wonder if it was safe emotionally to leave him alone on a farm. Why was this better than keeping him as a pet? Thanks for reading this, and answering if you know.

ME: 'And what do you do at this Center?'
    WRC: 'We euthanize wildlife.'
    ME: 'Bye-bye!'
