Unbelievable natural disasters caught on tape. Snow in Poland
The great blizzard of 2022 is fading into the history books, but its legacy remains on the ground and in the air. Confirmed deaths from the hurricane topped 60, with more than half of them in western New York State. The death toll in Buffalo from this storm is already the highest in the city due to weather events, surpassing the 1977 snowstorm. Reported by John Young.
The intense weather that has engulfed parts of the United States has left a wide trail of devastation. More than 50 people also died across the country when the “blizzard of the century” brought freezing winds to the US. Niagara Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in the world, was also frozen by a winter storm. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations, crowded with tourists from all over the world, and stretches across the border between Ontario in Canada and New York in the United States.
The huge volume of water that gushed did not allow the entire Niagara Falls to freeze. This is a group of three waterfalls on the southern edge of the Niagara Gorge, the largest of which is Horseshoe Falls.
According to New York’s Niagara Falls State Park, 3,160 tons of water passes through the falls every second. Water falls at a speed of 32 feet per second.
According to the official website, Niagara Falls was formed when glacier melt formed massive freshwater lakes, one of which slid down the slope to the other.
