We are not quite sure what exactly we are dealing with. There is a loop of fishing line and a piece of an industrial filter. Those items seem tied together on purpose, but we have no idea why. But we can understand how this unusual concoction might be irresistible to a naturally playful and curious seal. We can imagine how the seal tossed it around underwater or on the surface and how he got stuck in this death trap.
Wherever this entanglement came from, we sincerely hope it will be a once-off situation.

Glad you saved these seals 💗💗💗💗💗
Makes you wonder if they are intentionally trying to kill marine life!!!!
Bless you my heros! GIVE A HOOT! DON'T POLLUTE!
Which months are you on the beach to save the seals? Is there weeks or months the seals are out in the oceans??
A great capture by the team of OCN. The seal definitely was not happy. After removing the entanglement the seal had to feel better. Love seeing the videos! Thank you 😁!

It's a chum/bait bag…A SHARK literally bit the whole bag off the side of the boat…They were "fishing" for something that didn't use up their bait too quickly/easily…"Back to the drawing board, Mustafa???" They need HEMP BAGS…TWICE the strength of rope/canvas, and is EASILY BIODEGRADABLE…HUMAN IGNORANCE caused these problems…
