Khali the jaguar was kept as a pet until her owner realized he couldn’t take care of her. Luckily, ONCA Wildlife Rescue took her in and started teaching her how to be a jaguar. She’s already gained so much confidence!

  1. I like captions like this. These magnificent creatures are not pets and they should not be treated this way. You want to pet an animal get a house cat.

  2. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the wonderful people involved in the rehabilitation of this magnificent cat. So glad there are caring and compassionate folk out there able to do this amazing work. People trading in and keeping these babies should be prosecuted.

  3. As long as its a baby, those animals get real big and eat a whole lot of food. I don't honestly know what people think bringing them in their home. Some can do it. So many more cannot. Not a good quality of life for these precious animals. Amazon car hop trays.

  4. THANK YOU, thank you! Makes me SO HAPPY Khali (sp?) got a wonderful 2nd chance. My only wish is that whoever took and abandoned her be found and dealt with! 💕

  5. So glad this little baby has a new home now. Much much better. Happy too hear she was saved. Makes me feel happy that she's well treated and has the sanctuary she needs. 😻😻😻😻. 💖💖.lovely baby.

  6. Ppl need to realize that these are wild exotic animals that live in extreme habits and are not pet's.. They need and thrive on specific conditions to live thus why so many who try and domesticate these wild exotic animals continue to be seriously hurt or killed, you may think you're domesticating these wild animals but fact is they'll turn on you at any moment. There are many now making huge profit from sending their local poachers into the jungles and using machetes to instantly kill these poor momma monkeys and throwing newborn monkeys into burlap sacks and selling them to tourist for huge$$ being that these locals are so poor and hungry they'll do anything for money right now but it's absolutely tragic that these tourists are enticing these locals to do such things and sad how these monkeys are being slaughtered for their newborn babies and not only that when these babies grow and grow much much stronger over time these ppl have no idea wtf to do with them.. they them realize they can't domesticate these wild monkeys whom aren't babies anymore and can and will rip your faces off if need be and can do serious harm to humans and it's not their faults at all.. ppl seriously need to be more aware of what their greed and actions are causing and stop.

  7. That's great then people found her on time and she found them bet even tho she a Jaguar she still grateful for having them people find her and rescue her she will have a better life now I don't no how anyone could think they could keep it as a pet no way glad she found a good home where she can run free

  8. Thank-you for your skillful rescue of this beautiful animal. All animals, including wild cats and their natural environments are so vulnerable, so precious the world over. Individuals knowledgeable, skillful and motivated in the maintaining of both are precious too! The global community's being deeply in your debt. Blessings.

  9. Just curious about the obvious.. Human Imprinting? If foods scarce for a period and theirs a village or poachers etc.
If a Full Grown Jaguar approached me I'd give birth to a Brown Baby, pee myself at the same time.

  10. I know these big cats are dangerous. I know they're not ever meant to be pets. But my gods I want to cuddle a big cat. Like an honest cuddle, with scritches and purrs and boops.

  11. a trafficked wild animal means a dead mother, mothers don't give away their cubs, they are taken from them after killing them, to be "pets" and as soon as they develop behavioral problems they are killed or dumped somewhere to end their lives in pain and misery. F…k these people. Keep this in mind and remember it every time you see some twat in a tiktok vid showing some wild animal being "cute", it's a two seconds vid, that animal's life is not like in those two seconds, trafficking also upsets the ecosystem and brings, you guessed, diseases, like corona, which came from you know where

  12. So grateful that you got the information you needed to rescue the Jaguar. – It’s unfortunate people cannot be sensible and that’s just putting it nicely.

Grateful to you rescuers! Grateful – beautiful thing what you do.

  13. Well done to this rescue team on all their scarifies and hard work to save these creatures! Please don’t stop. I hope this Jaguar cub will at least be safe and healthy in a sanctuary now . Pls updates us in 2023!!
