  1. I thought it was weird that the doomsday logo was yellow and there are no yellow shades?🙄 The palette does not scream DOOMSDAY at all. Korny. Glad they scrapped it.

  2. People make there MONEY in anyways it’s not a CashGrab!!! 🙄💯but yes I wished they would have done a pallet it got me excited for something 🫤

  3. Man Tim you're one tough consumer to impress. I love you & respect your opinion, I have never disagreed with you more. I absolutely love the color story, but green is one of my fav colors.

  4. I feel like yeah Shane was never a part of the beauty community but I feel like after being friends with Jeffrey like he took a real interest in make up I feel more so than any other beauty influencer because they did it for YouTube and for money or he just did it at home to make himself feel better

  5. Honestly I feel you exactly on this. Like the bottom row feels like it works alone and the top row alone even works but when the middle row steps in and put everything together it feels…no…

  6. I really wish they would still do the second pallet, I think the concept was so freaking cool and would love to see the behind the scenes and final products and image concepts

  7. I never thought it was a cash grab until this series came out. I really like Shane but I felt like he was kind of playing heart broken to see if Jeffree would say fuck it let’s release it. Shane knows he can’t release the palette or pull the strings to do it like Jeffree Star can meaning if he wanted to make some good $$ he would have to get Jeffree on board. Jeffree Star has a history of letting friends use him but seeing he’s had a life epiphany, I don’t think he was going for it regardless if he used the shades or not.

  8. You’re right Tim, in todays climate people do think their holier than thou. Yet they do not look in a mirror at their past or present or the people they associate with, their keyboard warriors who think no one knows who they are so their safe. Until someone finds out, and those who yell the loudest are the ones with the most to worry about. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  9. He’s confirmed on Snapchat that he’s leaving YouTube. I think once you’ve done something that long that isn’t really enjoyable or a main source of income anymore, it makes sense to move on. I am sure he will find another way to continue to connect with fans!

  10. I love your perspective on makeup. I’m an artist and love hearing other peoples opinion and critique on things like logo design and color design.

Great point about cash grabs. You were spot on white your examples!

  11. Happy to see you’re reviewing Jeffree Star. He’s incredibly talented and one of my favorite makeup artists. People are allowed to make mistakes. I don’t think the people who bash him are so perfect themselves!

  12. Jeffree didn't dodge the bullet though, remember the Cremated palette.
I didn't look properly at the black shade to recognize it, the greens were easy to recognize from Blood Money. I like both Blood Lust and Blood Money even though Blood Lust needed a shade that reflected the outside of the palette.
When I saw that Shane was going to show an unreleased palette I just skipped to the palette, I'm not really interested in their lives, and I didn't remember the people around them like the woman who left.
When I watch beauty videos like "new makeup" I always skip to the specific releases that interests me, which isn't much. 😕 I don't know if skipping has any effect on the popularity of the video.
I see a nice little colour story within the Doomsday palette, but as a whole I don't like it, the left is too bright for my liking.

  13. I recently purchased the Cremated palette because it was on sale for $30 and I've wanted it since the day it came out. I feel like everyone gets into drama, but the makeup is not the person who made it. I believe in holding people accountable, but I don't believe in canceling anyone and there's a big difference between the two. I don't agree with their actions at all, but I also don't think ridiculing someone for using their makeup is okay either.

  14. I love your videos and always look forward to the next one! I can see where you're coming from with buying from the JSC brand, but it's not for me. I think that people dishing out hate is unnecessary, but people will do what they want unfortunately.

  15. I actually loved the full colour story and low key wish they would've released it lol (tho I agree they didn't need all of those colours). But you're 100% right they really dodged a bullet by not releasing a Doomsday palette with some of those shade names too. Eyes were already on them and Jeffree got shat on for releasing Cremated during the start pandemic, when in reality he probably started making the palette a lot earlier and in the end a brand is there to make money so recalling a whole collection would mean a huge hit into revenue.
For some reason disaster movies are my comfort movies. I watch 2012, The Knowing and Armageddon regularly.
I also agree the series was a bit boring and pointless lol.

  16. Honestly I love Jeffree and his makeup so much. Never veered away from him. I loved the original series & really appreciated the new series for the simple fact that it gave me warm nostalgic feels of what everything felt like before the world went to hell in a hand-basket. Having said that, the first thing that came up for me regarding the “doomsday” was…. Oh, they’re using a ploy to entice sales around JStar singles lol… but that could just be my suspicious nature 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 Great video!! Thanks for all your hard work🙏🏽XO

  17. People were upset because Shane was so manipulative with the way he marketed it. He had never been into makeup before, but all of a sudden was once he started working with Jefree and he saw all the money he could make. He kept emphasizing how passionate he was about it to make people want to buy it more, but it seemed so obviously not genuine to me. I don't like when any celebrities make cash grab products because it takes advantage of those parasocial relationships that they have with their fans and makes them buy products that they might not have even wanted otherwise
