  1. Possums do have an affinity for people. I'll occasionally sleep outdoors in a shed (I live in a rural area) on cold nights, cozy and bundled up; I sleep fantastic out in the breeze and the ambience of nature. I've awakened to find possums laying across me, on top of the blankets, twice before. Unfortunately, ones living in the wild smell sewery and gamy, and I can't get past the rat-clone tail. I had to lift the blankets and slide them off. I like having them around; they eat ticks and, so I've read, mice, although I wonder how a spastic, slow-moving possum would be able to catch them.

  2. Butter was so unbelievably adorable when he was a baby — that oversized head on that little body! What a sweet little snugglebug…

  3. Happy Critter… it must be difficult for hime when he feels instincts, that do not fit in the artificial world of an indoor building.
Long walks in the park or a outdoor play area would be good for him to enjoy fresh air and sunshine, and some clean dirt to dig around in for play.

  4. I love and respect all animals but I never knew that opossums were this affectionate and loving. This awareness makes me even more loving towards them ❤️❤️
