🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  1. Tribel people don't necessarily have better immune system, they have different immune system than us, prolonged close contact with them might transmit diseases for which they don't have immunity. Also video quality seemed poor must be some issue during encoding or uploading in YouTube. Overall fantastic video thanks for showing how tribal people live in Africa.

  2. Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.

  3. I mean, aside from how anybody would feel about eating monkeys, I think it is highly dangerous as well. I mean, while cutting the uncooked meat, or inproperly cooked meat, it is very easy to make a small wound on your skin. Next thing you know, we have a new HIV variant or Covid 3.0. In my opinion, it is just plain dangerous to prep and eat these kinds of meats.

  4. This video reminded me the first and last time I had eaten monkey meat. The difference with Sunny is he "chose" it. Mine was kinda "forced." I went to a village for a funeral; every man there is a hunter and that's their way of life. A group of hunters who were happy to see me, their nephew, after 20+ years went hunting in the early morning of the day I arrived, killed a monkey, and brought it to the women so they can prepare a soup for me for breakfast when I wake up. I found out it was 🐒 meat when it was time to eat. I told my dad there is no way I was going to eat that. He then told me that the people will feel offended if I refuse to eat. I have no choice but dig in. I shortly run to the bathroom after done eating to try puke it, and the worse, nothing came out😂. However, one thing I learned was people are different so their culture too and sometimes, leverage is needed. Some people will offer expensive gifts as a thank you or a sign of respect or honor to their guests. For me, I received and ate monkey meat and I am thankful for it even I wasn't having it and got put to the spot☺️. Hats off to you Sunny. What a great video! Can't wait for the two next episodes.

  5. Sonny, Don't act as if being stupid.. People snorted fine ground tabacco since the 1680s. It is still being sold at Old skool tabacco/sigarette shops.

  6. I am Tanzanian, was born in the same region as these people..Hadzabe, But I am not able to eat what they eat… Sonny ur the daredevil in a good way…..
