3. One thing that I think all Christians should agree on (but we don't for some reason) is that this world is our home. The great hope of Christianity is that Christ will redeem this world. It is not to be discarded or surrendered. Jesus was born here and he's coming back. Where does the idea that this world is not our home come from? Is there a Bible verse I missed somewhere?

   It is true that when we die we go to be with the Lord (2 Cor 5:8). To be with Christ in Heaven will certainly be better than this earth. But over time this intermediate and temporary state somehow became our central hope – something we call “going to Heaven.” We have drifted into a Greek idea of the immortality of the soul up in another dimension somewhere and we have lost the Hebraic truth of the resurrection of the dead. Instead of physical we have spiritual and instead of “here” we have substituted “there.” But this is not the Biblical hope. The Bible doesn’t generally speak in our popular way of “going to heaven” when we die. Not that it is technically wrong. The problem is that this interim state has become our overarching paradigm replacing the biblical hope.

   The final Biblical hope is heaven coming here. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Mt 16:10). Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth (Mt 5:5). We look to heaven not much because that is where we are going in order to finally be saved, but because that is where our salvation is coming from (Phil 3:20-21).

    But my question is??
    Doesn't the scriptures offer also hope for humans to live peacefully on planet earth 🌎 according to Salms 37
    When GOD YHVH promised
    The meak will live on earth ?? Enjoying what Almighty GOD create for humans when HE instructions to Adam and Eve
    To cultivate the soil, multiply to have family,and so on ???
