  16. Our Bichon went blind at 2 years old. We thought at first it was cataracts which could be fixed but later learned she had detached retinas which was heartbreaking. Our Bichon lived for over 15 years. It never crossed our minds to put her down, but it was surprising how many people asked why we didn't. Remember, dogs are family and once you have them you are theirs and they are yours for life.

  22. Years ago one of my cats had a feisty kitten that had a front-shaped leg where her back leg was supposed to be. The vet loved that kitten so much when I took her in to be spayed that he adopted her. Her leg had to be amputated, but she did just fine as a "tripod."

  23. In addition to the wonderful people who adopted , it’s a great testimony to the vet who refused to euthanize and actually went to the trouble to find a rescue. I don’t know of any who would do this!❤

  25. Coco's owner was a breeder and told the vet to put her down because she could no longer have babies when she was 6 years old. The vet said he would put her down and he called us after the guy left. We had 24 adopted dogs with Coco. Now we have 23 because we had to put her down after 7 years with us. That breeder has no idea how grateful we are to have had those very special years with Coco my baby.

  26. My girlfriend doesn't like my dog…. he picked her? Literally wouldn't give up my Euro German Shepherd for anyone. He sleeps on my bed so get use to it or walk!

I DON'T UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WHO WANT TO JUST HAVE DOGS PUT TO SLEEP, TO JUST KILL A PUP, AND OTHERS THAT GET PUPS WHEN THEY ARE BABIES BUT WHEN THEY GET OLD THEY DON'T WANT THEM. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. I LOVE ANIMALS, GOD GAVE US ANIMALS TO LOVE
    AND TAKE CARE OF THEM.

  36. The guy should turn his girlfriend in for having a cold heart! get away now when she’s only a girlfriend. It’s very sad when the families pet gets ill and they decide to get rid of them like garbage. What if your family member was born blind and deaf, what would you do? People that do that do animals have no souls, and should not have a pet ever. Disability or not, those dogs are awesome. They found a lovely home and a lovely family to have a happy and fun life despite their disabilities.
