I was always told hurricanes will never reach the Maritimes. I was in Halifax during Hugo. This storm is 10 times worse.

I see so many Americans are happy in the comments about this storm touching Canada.. Well, Fiona was not that strong when it hit Canada, there is only one small village on the coast who was badly effected.
The rest of the provinces were fine. Lets see whos gonna have the last laugh when Ian sweeps Florida.
NS here, this is going to be a looooooong road to recover in the midst of living through a housing crisis, inflation, fuel being so expensive, food banks not having enough to give, lack of donations for clothing, supplies, short staff in hospitals, short staffed at police stations, short staff on transit driver, etc. And all before leading into the Hurricane Fiona. This is going to be rough honestly. I don't want to think about it.
I feel so bad for all the humans living under DeSantis rule. Guy may be one of the worst leaders to ever hold office. Talk about unqualified.
