Wild Walrus Takes A Summer Vacation Across Europe | The Dodo Comeback Kids
Spread The Viralist

Wally the wild walrus surprised everyone when he showed up in Ireland in the summer of 2021. Walruses don’t typically travel that far South and because he didn’t have access to ice, he settled for the next best thing — boats! His trip around Europe didn’t end there and he eventually made his way to Spain! But things really took an even more surprising turn when a second walrus, Freya was also spotted in Europe at the same time.

  1. Nothing surprises me about the Norwegians. Just search how children are retired from their parents for any random reason and you never will see them again.

  2. The Walrus just wanted to get out of the cold… I'm sure that something like this would give Sea Monster legends back in the day. You see a fuckin walrus in Spain back in the 1500s you're gonna think it's a monster or a mermaid or something

  3. Oh ffs, that has to be one of the most unnecessary euthanizations I've ever heard of. Shame on whoever made that decision.

"How can we prevent a potential, extremely unlikely tragedy?"

"By creating an even worse tragedy of course!"

    Fucking humans…

  4. Freya was euthanized for the safety or humans because humans were getting too close to Freya. I hope she's resting in peace. Sometimes our human actions and decisions baffle me, but also it's humans who fight against such rash actions and decisions as well. We really out do ourselves.

  5. Ok so im not a animal "lover" or card carrying peta member but to kill the walrus because ppl wouldn't stop getting close sounds wrong thats not the walrus fault how about try warning ppl first then after a second offense a fine third offense larger fine but killing it seems cruel and unnecessary imo

  6. Are you kidding me!? The walrus behaves too friendly towards humans, so you kill it!? This is why aliens won't even interact with us if they explore here. They'll just move on for classifying us as heartless.

  7. what you don't know that the local authorities have asked dear people leave the walrus alone so that he or she can rest and continue to its original place, in norway they have asked the population again leave the animal alone the authorities have said if you do not leave the animal alone, we will put him to sleep, so shoot. Death of the animal by selfish people.
