Got lucky it was just my basement that almost flooded (shop vac and mop for 3 hours to keep it contained)… 2 other houses a little down the street from me were condemned.

I live in St Louis Missouri and yes the flooding was bad.. St Charles was pretty bad too from what my boyfriend said I'm glad that this is over it was a scary situation.

My daughter had an appointment at CID the other day by Taylor ave and we almost got trapped. When we got out of our appointment it was pouring and we all got emergency Alerts on our phone to stay where you are and that it was a life threatening situation. My aunt decided to go before it got worse though. The traffic was so backed up from missouri to Illinois. It was horrible. We had to drive all the way back past Belleville from St. Louis city. The rain was 2 inches per hour and it all happened so fast. This was the second flooding we had.

It's discouraging to see this happening to so many people in this area and also in Kentucky . But here in East Tennessee , particularly in White Pine TN. We have hardly seen any rain. Which we need. But in areas near by , just a few counties over they have gotten 3 or 4 inches of rain within the last several days. I heard experts say that some of the flooding people are experiencing is due to global warming. Which is also set to only get much worse . These conditions are the last thing some areas need. I would imagine that prayers are everyone's only hope. And let's not forget to pray for the thousands of people who have already lost everything including loved ones. God bless everyone !
