Extreme Rescues tells dramatic real-life stories from across the globe using footage captured by the rescuers themselves. In this episode a freak accident severs a professional cyclist’s artery miles from medical help, a kayaker fights to rescue his friend who’s trapped upside down in white water rapids, and a backcountry skier is buried alive in a tree well.

I would like to suggest that people here in the comments take a moment before passing such harsh judgment on the rescuers, saying "they should have done this" or "why didn't they do that?" These are extremely tense and difficult situations, and they are making the best choice they can based on having only moments to make decisions. In this video especially, it was mostly bystanders who had to help initially, not trained professionals. Bravo to them for what they did with the resources available, plus panic, adrenaline and fear they were experiencing knowing they had someone's life in their hands. They saved lives. Period.
Cedric you acted quickly and calmly.
Question: were your bike bars carbon fiber or what?
READY FOR A LAW SUIT FOR FIRST AID RESPONDERS 🤮
The guy that sent mountain rescuers instead of helicopter should be fired. Like what do you expect is happening when someone has artery bleeding?
29:00 I already knew it was going wrong because this guy wanted to have a conversation and give her options and time to make a decision instead of just getting her out. Every second counts and he wasted them. He didn't even listen to her – if he did he would t of made the mistake of flipping her.
Poor Cedric! I hope they trained the 999 operator to believe people who say they need a helicopter. It's an honest mistake; but if he hadn't have shoved his bare hand INSIDE his leg and pinched the artery, and then asked his friend to kneel on it to make sure he would have died by the time the ambulance got there. It would have been on all of their consciences.
This is hard to watch but amazing that he survived. Wow
That Cedric dude literally saved his own life. He was on point with taking control of what needed to happen.
I love this series! Back From the Dead was the best episode!
I watched someone die (not in person) from getting there feminal artery cut all it took was 5mins to bleed out was the craziest an scary thing I've seen check out active self protection channel
thanks Nat G!
Whoever might've taken that biker's 911 call, I don't care who it was, they should be fired and jailed.
Sad that Cedric said he and his friends raced even more intensely after his accident. You'd think they would have gained respect for the value of their lives. Cedric fiercely did not want to die in the crisis of fear and pain. But, two days later, he's out of the hospital, ready to risk it all again. Death forgotten. I don't see that as bravery.
I did exactly the same thing as cedric ¹8years ago… I switched the video off when I knew what he'd done and I haven't been able to make myself watch it yet and I think no way I'll be able to
I think Cedrik did what he saw in videos like this… couse he knew he must stop blood by putting fingers inside… crazy story.. i wish to hear also how to act when this happen becouse i was suprised people think okey bleeding you can tight it and stop it but this was so high you had no chance to tight with rope leg or something.. what to use to stop wound bleeding?.. bike handle or part of dress bottle. . keep legs up? i woud like to know becouse i know it can happen legs are hitting something all the time..
I wonder kind of insurance Kyle has having to drag around balls of steel all the time.
What kind of nancy we got here acting like this is a serious emergency 🤣🤣🤣. This is not video worthy 🌓
Omg I've never seen more blood in my entire life. My knees are weak and I feel pain in my stomach. Crazy. Cedric has amazing friends and his survival mode starts immediately. I'm literally speechless
First story made me so mad😠 when they say the need a helicopter bc hes dying you don't assume "oh its a broken bone and they're dramatic" you do your job and send a helicopter.
Good job Kyle
These doctor's are Angels🙂👨🍳
Why did they take so long to start pulling Liegh out? I mean they had 8 ppl to help pull?
Cedric is a certified badass with an amazing mindset and strong mental fortitude, being able to keep that calm and collected, and realizing what needed to be done to survive during a complete disaster of an accident, great job of his buddies as well.
