10. I think its important to note that Eddie didnt have to go back to the bats, BUT if he had NOT then the bat wouldve started to head back to Nancy Steve and Robin who were tied up at the house. The bats originally were guarding the house until they followed the sound of Eddies performance. Once the bats recognized thT both Eddie and Dustin were safe on the otherside they would have went back to kill the tied up Robin and Steve.

    EDDIE MUNSON’s sacrifice was well warranted, and could be seen as crucial to the safety of all the other characters!

I don't understand how so many people miss this because this isn't the first time I heard this bad take that Eddie died needlessly but as Eddie was escaping up the Rope when he realized that there was nothing keeping the bats from escaping into the real world and killing any poor random who the bats came across so in that moment Eddie realized the trailer integrity was compromised and the only way to keep the bats attention was for him to kite them away so he left the trailer to draw them away from the portal and thus saving Dustin & Hawkins at the cost of his life

13. Kind of annoyed they didn't kill off one or more of the main characters. They teased us saying there would be multiple deaths and all we got were Dr. Brenner, Eddie and Max in a coma.

17. If you think about it, probably Vecna will bring his army next season, following Vecna's story on D&D. And if theories where right, Will Byers had saw the last monster that Vecna will bring to Hawkins: Tiamat.

19. I loved how this season really pushed into the DnD. I've never played DnD but fuck now I want to.. You had Eddie as the Bard, Steve as the Warrior, El being the Wizard and I bet you could put them all to a class architype. By far the best season, usually I hate how long a show draws out the finale, but this really worked.. Like amazingly well.

25. I get people upset over Eddie (I am too) but saying he didn't have to fight the bats is just dumb. He would think of himself as a coward if he just ran with Dustin and Eddie and Dustin did not know that Hopper and company were helping in Russia and that help would defeat the Demo-Bats.

26. Great season four ending! Eddie is a rock star, who's ending was heartbreaking! Max suffering was terrible! Season 4 was an absolute masterpiece in writing, acting, music score or directing! Season 5 should be great! Maybe Papa returns to help EL get stronger to fight Vecna! Now let's see what the military does to help against the murders in the Hawkins!!

32. The actor who plays Lucas improvised when he screamed for Erica to help. It was not in the script. That really shows you where Caleb actually went in that scene. Brilliant

41. I hate these people for so many reasons. 1 they were super unhappy with the ending. 2 they wanted vecna to die, but we all know we wanted vecna to win. 3 they are crybabies.

If there’re two traits Stranger Things has, it’s introducing one season characters and killing them (Alexei/Bob/Eddie), as well as have main characters “die” but return in some other way (El/Hopper). Max’s storyline is about mental health yes, but just because you triumph once doesn’t mean your demons are gone. The difference though is that previously she wanted to die, but now she knows she’s not ready and doesn’t want to. Hence I think Max’s consciousness/soul is still in Vecna’s mind and hasn’t given up yet. Unlike Chrissy and the others, Max knows what is going on and she knows El can reach her. My guess is that El couldn’t bring her back to her body in time because her connection to Vecna’s mind was lost when the teens attacked Vecna’s physical body in the underworld. The only issue is if mind Max is as injured as her body is or if she’s just lost the connection to her body, and if she will have a role in sabotaging Vecna from inside his mind, or if Vecna will attempt to use her body as a vessel. I personally lean towards the former. I think that Will might be at risk of being the vessel since he’s been that before and is defo more sensitive towards Vecna’s thoughts. Bottom line is: Max is not dead and she can definitely be revived. In fact Hopper being alive felt more unbelievable, since he was literally in front of a giant laser bomb lol.

43. this time period and his age, it makes sense why these feelings would scare him, which is why his scene with Jonathan was so great.
