1. 0% oxygen recorded in ballina River a few weeks ago when all the fish were washing up dead

2. Sad thing mate, seen it up here around Brisbane after the floods, but especially up at bribie area, lots of dead flatties washing up around sandstone point

4. Huge inundation of freshwater from flooding also reduces the oxygen levels in local waterways. The Murray River and tributaries have the issue of “black water” (low or no usable oxygen combined with already dead carcasses rotting in the water) during flooding. I’d say a lot of SEQ’s waterways would’ve had a drop in oxygen levels as the volume of water passed through.

5. At least it wiped out some tilapia that’s what you got to appretiate

7. Great vid Andy. Sad to see so many fish die but I guess that's life these days. It's not the first time this has happened and has always recovered over time which is a positive. 10. One theory is nutrient run off like you said it happend in Sydney also have a look at Windsor bait and tackle fish kill Youtube channel there is a part where the fish are in the shallows trying to breath because deeper water has no oxygen.

11. Rapid Salinity and temp changes with rapid filling of freshwater salinity would still be on the low side I’d recon
