  1. I had a similar experience at the Pyramids of Giza. All I was going to do was get my photo taken standing by a camel that was kushed. The guy kept telling me to back up for a better picture. As I bumped into the camel guy had his budy make the camel stand up. Those things are 15 feet tall I swear! Rather than stay near the tour bus he started walking into the desert. With me screaming at him to stop the camel over and over. You can ride the camel as long a you want for free – into the desert. If you want to get off near your tour bus you are going to pay. I had no cash with me, thankfully my buddy Smitty paid for me.
TBH, riding the camel was pretty cool, they ride very different from a horse, but as 15 feet off the ground I didn't want to jump off.

  2. hi raleigh!!! im a huge fan of yours and have been for a while. however i have a lot of fears about riding horses and i dont know much about it. if you have time could you start a series on how to ride a horse or just simple tips?

  3. I really hope this dude learned his lesson. Because that’s scary. And why he thought those kids were gonna be any better I don’t know.

  4. I’ve worked at a few barns, two gave trail rides and one was honestly okay…the trail horses did some small western and English shows plus lessons. The other was a nose to nose trail ride, and I only lasted two days there….too bad the first place was full of greedy liars

  5. OHMYGOSH this happened to my family in Greece. There's the same kind of hustlers that hang out by the towns with donkeys. One started approaching us, knowing we were tourists but instead of begging or something, he straightup GRABS by 10 year old brother and puts him on his donkey. Just snatched a child off the ground. It was SOOOOO sketchy and weird. Of course my mom didn't stand for it, but this does happen!!
Be an intentional tourist! Do not let people push you around. It's always the people who try to be too nice and respectful that get taken advantage of. This is honestly so cringe to watch. I hope someone punches that guy someday. That's so manipulative. There's so many better ways to serve tourists for money. Way to tarnish your own culture by being a jerk and harassing tourists.

  6. INFO ON THE PRICE HERE. This is in Pakistan, he was VERY smart to continue to say a specific location, in case anything very bad happened. The chunky monkey amusement park in this case, there is only one by that name outside of America/UK, smart move. Anyways. "200" is $1, "500" is $2.50, "5,000" is $25. So it's still a steal, unless you're a local, and his accent matched so he might be. It's still a scam and very worst case scenario he could have been kidnapped or seriously hurt.

  7. I'd actually be afraid this would be linked to kidnapping or trafficking! If they ever left sight of other tourists, then it's very bad! Reminds me of the fake taxi drivers who hang around the airport in Naples, Italy who listen for accents and people traveling alone, to try to pursued tourists to follow them to the airport basement for "the cheaper taxis" (there are none).

  8. I go to oak riding I don't say with one I love it there's there so nice I a horse called snowy she loves lol love pole see once pick up the pole but lucky it the soft and that went she young now she doesn't do any more and this just mean evil and look at the rack the horse so small in the video poor horse I hope there get save.🥺🥺😡

  9. Thank you so much for putting this out here!!
Raleigh, I have a huge question to ask sure I didn’t do something bad.
So, I went to a horse riding facility with my mom and it was a trail ride that was nose to butt, but they weren’t close together at all and the horses looked like they were well fed and had lots of water. Was this an okay thing to do? (P.s. this was like 2 or 3 years ago & there was helmets)

  10. His name is Dale Phillip from scotland and he is not a dumb tourist. He is also exposing scams and shady people if he has the chance. He is more or less a traveler visiting different places. He does make youtube videos like you, to entertain and educate people. He was filming this to warn other visitors. As said before, there is no difference between mistreating or abusing horses or any other animal or human. Its always a crap behavior. There are also people eating meet from animals whom have lived under horrible conditions, its not even better than what has been shown in his video. Nevertheless i completely understand you had to make a break in between. It hurts to see people doing that to other creatures
    Stay safe and healthy!

  11. My brother in christ I have never commented twice on one video before in my entire life but I just got to the end of it and — they had a horse on either side of the camel they're deadass pinning him there, that second where one horse fell back I would've jumped off and at that point anyone tried to touch me I'd be flashing a weapon. This shit is so dangerous dude he let it go on for way too long tryna negotiate with them like that while they kept dragging him along. 👀

  12. I agree that this is a scam that's illegal regardless of the country, and the owners are abusing both horses and costumers.
However, I also find it very disrespectful to brush off everyone with an "I don't care".

Yes, sometimes third world countries treat horses poorly out of ignorance and because they just see them as working tools a, but more often than not these people just can't afford to do any better. They are already doing as much as they can. And it's not like they could not have a horse or a donkey because they need them to survive.
And judging those people just by the way their horses look and forgetting about all the suffering behind it and the struggle that comes with wanting to do better for your animal but not being able to is pretty nasty.

  13. Bro, every time you glanced at the camera during the vid I glanced at your face the same way LMAO. Screw that there's EVERYTHING wrong with this scenario, kid's horse was literally emaciated..

  14. I remember my mom and I went on a trail ride at some barn in Tennessee, and the horse I rode was underweight, swollen and had sores on him. The horse my mom rode was an old beat down mare, obviously super tired with no breaks, (GOING UP MUDDY STEEP TRAILS) and mid ride her horse completely went down, I in no way will support these places, especially considering all the people that work there that have no idea what they are doing and don’t do there job properly (unless they actually care). I had a horse that we were simply just not a good fit, and he was awesome at trail rides, I do speed events and it wasn’t his favorite so we wanted him to enjoy his job, so we sold him. When we sold him I made sure that the owners that bought him would NEVER sell him to a trail organization/tour barn.

  15. As someone who’s currently learning how to ride, and is still mastering the trot, I would hate to be put on a random horse with no knowledge of how to ride and then be Trotting. Not to mention, IN THE OPPOSITE DORECTION OF WHERE I WANT TO GO

  16. so I went to this stables for a lesson I was getting over a riding accident with my own horse I was really scared other after the accident and I was really scared to even get close to a horse so I wanted to get over the fear and I was having my first lesson at this stables it was my first time their oh and btw the horse that I had an accident with was/is my sister's horse so I went to this stables and they helped me get on the horse and I was really scared and I wanted to get off but they wouldn.t let me off even though I kept asking them to and they didn.t until the lesson was over so yeah witch the lesson was supposed to be a half hour lesson so yeah

  17. My mom and dad went on a vacation to Cuba and they don’t really know how to ride horses and they went for a trail ride by themselves on random Horses and the horses just took off with them on there way back.

  18. I don't know what country this is, but years ago (back in the '80's) I had a cousin that traveled to Egypt with some of her girlfriends. They were warned not only by their travel agent, but also by their hotel staff to NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, RIDE ANY ANIMALS. They were told that people are kidnapped, beaten, robbed, and either left for dead or sold (sex trafficked). This is a "hustle" that has been going on for decades in these countries.

  19. I once went on a guided tour on a Spanish island I believe it was. It was advertised in the hotel we we where staying in. I called them up first and explicitly said that I had experience (I think like at least 10 years at that point), but my niece didn't. She said it was ok and we made an appointment. Its been a long time ago so I don't remember if they thought my Niece anything (at least the basics I assume) and with her we went on a half to an hour walking trip, which was already awesome. Then we went back to the stables and my niece was brought back to the hotel and me and the guide went for another 2 to 3 hour tour. Not everyone is a scammer I am trying to say

  20. Oh my god this is insane, my heart was pounding watching…There are good places out there that will look after their horses and take you out in a civilised manner. Just do research, don’t just go to random riding facilities. We have some amazing ones in the UK.

  21. If enough of the Tourists tell these people no i am not riding on a over used starved animal. Maybe these people will get the idea they will get more money. The fact that people get on these animals looking like that is a shame on them.

  22. My bff & I went to Lucca, Italy. We found a beautiful riding place & had a wonderful time. The horses were extremely well looked after. So I don't think that all, these places are bad.
Have also been to a few in Victoria & Queensland in Australia & they were great too.
Just like anything there are good & bad. You just have to make sure you check the place before you pay.

  23. I remember the VERY first time I’ve EVER ridden a horse. My mom took me to a trail ride facility (luckily they actually knew what they were doing and gave me a 25 minute lesson before h the ride) they gave me a helmet, I rode there oldest horse cause I was 10 years old. I remember there was this one ditch and the my horse jumped it.
Now I almost never go to them now that I have my own horse and that is a waist of money and it’s just unfair for those horses to walk miles a day, either without food or water for hours on end.
