I’m in the process of updating my Bangkok eBook, called eBook: 101 Things To Do in Bangkok, and so on today’s Bangkok vlog, we headed first to meet a friend at Thong Lo BTS station. From there we walked to Napa Place Bed and Breakfast ( http://www.agoda.com/napa-place-boutique-hotel/hotel/bangkok-th.html?CID=1452029 – affiliate link), a place I wanted to check out and see if I could recommend it for the new edition of the ebook update. It turns out, Napa Place is very nice, in a good location not far from the BTS skytrain, and it has a real home away from home feel to it. It’s a type of place you would like if you want a quiet classic place to stay.

For lunch we went to a restaurant called My Choice, located on Thong Lo Soi 36. Although the restaurant was quite slow and not very busy, the food was pretty good. The best dish at the restaurant we ate for lunch was the green curry served with roti, I thought that was excellent. After eating lunch, we had a quick coffee and then continued on our day living in Bangkok.

We jumped in a taxi and went to MR Kukrit Heritage Home, the home residence of MR Kukrit Pramoj, an very important and influential man in Thailand. He was an author who wrote over 150 books, and he was also the 13th Prime Minister of Thailand. His home, includes 5 different teakwood buildings. MR Kukrit Pramoj spent many years of his life decorating and preserving his house. Another part of visiting the MR Kukrit House was the amazing garden outside, which is filled with a lotus pond, bonsai trees, and flowers, The house is not overly big, but the traditional Thai style of it is what is really impressive. I also loved visiting the house in the middle of Bangkok’s financial district of Sathon. There are skyscrapers and banks in the distance, but the MR Kukrit Heritage Home is a haven of a botanical garden and tradition in the middle of modern Bangkok. Entrance price was 50 THB.

  4. The Napa bed and breakfast looks amazingly tranquil and relaxing. How much would a one-night stay cost in an executive suite and in a regular room?

  5. Ugh that roti sent me over the edge!!! Mark because of you I tried this Chiang Mai Thai resturant in my city and ate Kow Soy and Nam Prik Ong with raw veggies and sticky rice! I FELL IN LOVE I was so ecstatic to eat something you eat xD I eat the Nam Prik Ong often now 😀

  8. @Mark Wiens  You are really stepping up your production quality even for the Vlogs.  I love the brief glimpses down alley, on streets, in the car all nicely mixed with music.  And pricing & dish names are always appreciated.  Well done yet again.
