  1. this is truly a hidden gem of the internet. i didn’t know i needed these weird bird sounds but i’m so glad i found them. thank you close encounters of the bird kind

  2. Thank you so much for this quality, no-frills compilation. A gem among the internet fluff. What an "eye-opener"!

  3. I dare not imagine an ancient forest with their ancient ancestors, the dinosaurs, we would probably die before we even see them.

  4. I would not be surprised if 90% of these were to get some ladies. The things birds do to get some attention, I swear, if the visuals aren't enough then they gotta go extra with the voices

  5. AMAZING! By "weird" you also meant unpleasant sounds. The Northern lapwing and Tui were somewhat pleasant, but OMG, the Cassowary sounded like a lion! 😰

  6. There is a type of bird, I still don't know what type, but everytime I hear it at night, it sounds so much like a kitten meowing that even if I know it's the bird I still have the urge to go out and check if there is actually a kitten.
