5 years ago I was heading to pick up my mother to take her over the mountain and I had a deer run and hit me in the side of my car it dented my passenger door and I had a really hard time getting it open when I went to pick her up and it shook me up really bad anyway I went to work the next day and my the maintenance man he said I'll work on your door and he said but you are very lucky he said an old couple had been going up the road and they hit a deer and it came through the windshield and killed both of them and so I do consider myself fortunate that the deer was a second to get out of sync with getting my hood anyway but I consider myself lucky they will kill you if they come through the windshield

Truck Driver here. Yeah, school is about 2 weeks long. But you also are required to go out with a certified trainer for 6 months following school. The trucker was definitely a dummy, they told us to NEVER do a U-turn. I’ve been trying for 2 years next month and I can assure you I’m better than most these guys with 15+ years experience.

So many morons on the road who think their right of way(even when they don’t have right of way) will act as a full body protective barrier and rely on horn instead of brakes… brake then beep… hope if insurance gets involved if there is an accident they see the footage and see that they have plenty of time to avoid the accident but instead chose to just lay on horn maintaining current speed…
L have you ever drove a semi?? If you try to turn like you said then he would have to jack knife it!! The problem was he should have had his turn signal on way before he turned it on and he should have been paying attention to make sure nobody was coming before he turned… It's not easy to turn 30-40 foot around a tight corner especially when the 30-40 feet don't bend…

That truck driver doesn't even have his turn signal on either ! Oh crap he turned it on at the last minute ! Crazy drivers like that should just put in jail and once released their drivers license should be taken away forever ! I bet that other truck driver got out beat the crap of that IDIOT !
One of my good friends got cut off by a woman not paying attention in her car while he was riding his motorcycle and it caused him to lay the bike down in his attempt to avoid a collision with her. He said right after the accident he had so much adrenaline going through his veins that he really didn’t feel much pain besides some soreness in his hip. However he said the worst and most painful part, by far, was later at the hospital after that adrenaline wore off when he had to sit there and have a doctor or nurse, I forget which, pick small pieces of gravel and shredded blue jeans out his road rash which went all the way from his knee to his hip on one leg. Thankfully though he was wearing a helmet, and he had on a motorcycle jacket which kept his arm and shoulder from getting turned into hamburger like the outside of his thigh was.
Overall he was pretty lucky because if any number of small things had changed in how his crash happened then it could’ve turned out far worse.
We tease my husband that he goes out to hunt deer, and not even see one. After deer season he hits at least 3 a year. Hes trying to find a way to get a car grill in his hunting blind lol

Love how they say watch for bikers but a lot of times bikers are the reason for the accident cuz they love to drive so wreckless
That truck driver that was showing sing to turn left – but first drives almost off the road to right before turning. In addition to it showing km/h on the dash cam screen – likely in north of Europe. And driving culture there – usually if a truck blinks his turn signal in that fashion and then drives a bit side of road – people will interpret it as a signal for the car arriving from behind that it is safe to pass him. You see in north Europe it is not allowed to use highway left line except for passing – you are not supposed to stay on it using it as your main line of driving. All drive on right line and even if there is two lines going same direction you use it only for passing. Well that said. It could have been far worse cause that driver behind, likely thought the truck was indicating – not to turn – but to give him way to pass. Well that is an optional way to interpret it. But then again Canada does have bit similar roads too – so cant be sure. It just seems to me like a mistaken interpretation of the truckers intentions on top of the trucker being a dammed blind to pull in front of someone like that. Oh and road conditions too they have obvious signs of damage from winter tire usage (small metal bits in tires to keep the cars on road) as well as winter cold weather damage to asphalt. So yes, absolutely somewhere in northern parts of the world.

I'll say this, a few times I've had the safety team request I tone the language down after having to hard brake ( set off the dash cam ). One was impressed by the way it was used
I've had a deer jump into the side of my car once. Not even in front of it. He was just standing there next to the road, as soon as I pass him, he just jumps into my car's flank.

I had a deer charge at the my car. Totaled my car out. ( it was also mating season. I had bad timing as I came around the curve🤷♀️
