Christmas Tamales!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays! Get my free food guide here: http://migrationology.com/41-irresistible-meals/

This year I spent Christmas in Phoenix, Arizona, back in the US for the first time during Christmas in about 6 years.

One of my favorite Christmas foods is Mexican tamales. So the day before Christmas I headed over to my friend’s house and we made a bunch of tamales. He had a great idea to add green curry to a tamale, so we made some Thai green curry tamales and also plenty of regular beef and pork red chile tamales.

It was a lot of fun making the tamales, and even more fun eating them!

  1. buy saying fusion i thought he was going to put the green curry and meat in the same tamale,,lol traditional every time baby!

  2. The singular form of “tamales” is “TAMAL” without the final “e”. Nevertheless you did a great job making that tamal. Yum! I miss tamales! 😋

  3. And 2 years later, Merry Christmas again, to you and Ying and Micah. I made tamales for Christmas a couple of years ago, and they were SO good! Don't have the ambition to do them again, but fond memories linger.

  4. You used Herdez salsa. Bad move. Where's the rice and re fries? Did you try menudo or pisolae? Menudo is made from honeycomb tripe. Tamales look good. Even the this infusion looked wonderful. It's 2014 in August and I am getting ingredients ready for tamales. Wonderful tubes of happy heaven. Use Pace brand hot for tour salsa.its hot!
