  1. Tornado sirens went off in my state at 12 PM last night. I had to wake up my family.. There was no real tornado but it was likely. We did have a warning too

  2. I used to work on a rescue squad that used air raid sirens to activate the fire department. To break the tension in these scary moments and tragedies, I told jokes and said the siren was the "Go To Work Alarm." Ironically, I could not stand the raket of alarms, power tools, and blairing sirens as a kid with undiagnosed migraines, yet I used all of those things as an adult.

Learning how to use cutting amd spreading "jaws of life" devices was one of the hardest parts of my training. As clumsy and as I am to loud sound also from cerebral palsy, that was the last thing going on in my head as my team and I cut apart a wrecked car, saving a very fortunate family. I hope the surgery this month will be the last I need for a while as I loved the non-traditional path I took in learning emergency medicine in a non-hospital setting as a registered nurse enrolled in emt-basic training to help my community. If any local RN to Paramedic college course. becomes available, I will likely attend it.

  5. If people had common sense, all you have to do is check your phone for an alert, if there’s not, then your good. Especially if the weathers clear too. Common sense is not that common anymore.
