Not trying to get you all political with guns in America, but it is an everyday struggle sometimes. You've got anti-gun politicians, the ATF making up rules that aren't even laws and huge money being spent by billionaires to take away firearms all in the name of safety. However, the only ones that this will affect is the law abiding citizens. Criminals don't care about laws, cause criminal! Of course all these above mentioned people have armed security, kinda ironic. You know more than we do with the respect of outlawed firearms. People will just use the next thing down the line like knives. I'll keep saying it till everyone understands it, it's the evil in the heart that makes a person bad, it's not the tool used. The M4 isn't the best carbine out there, it's good but there are better for the real world. I'm a retired Army NCO 11B/19D and I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I had wished we had a better rifle/caliber while in Iraq.

If you want some weapons in UK that don't fire but are full metal but don't mind them not being completely real then you could get Airsoft guns or some that have had the strikers modified so they don't fire. But gas blow back Airsoft is pretty close to the real thing
