  1. 5:36 bro the reason casita isn’t spelled casito isn’t because it implies the the spirit is feminine, it’s because house, translates to casa which is a feminine noun, so saying casito is grammatically incorrect

  2. Well, the door that depicts their aperance could see ahead to what they would look like, but with antonio the currect casita doesn't live long enough in the future to see him grow, similar to in dr strange when the ancient one said she could see no further then that day she would die. The new casita is not the same, now connected and physically made by mirabel placing the doorknob.

  3. You can’t fully debunk the theory of Pedro being casita, nobody actually uses Casito, and I don’t believed that is grammatically correct in Spanish. (Don’t take my word)

  4. My conclusion is that on all the characters clothes, they wear smth to do with their gift. And since Mirabel has butterflies on her dress, she could be the social butterfly 🦋 and change everyone's mood and they could talk to her about everything

  5. This movie takes a lot from the Latin America literary genre of Magical Realism.

In this genre magical things happen but they are never or almost never explained.

  6. I think the reason its casita and not casito isnt bc the house is feminine, but because the root word for casita is casa which means house and changing it to casito would make the root word caso which wouldnt make sense. I could be wrong tho

  7. She wipes her hands that's why she doesn't have a power I haven't even seen the movie but in all the clips u see her wipe her hands

  8. I know this has nothing to do with the video, but I have a theory that Dolores has 2 powers. Super hearing and teleportation.

This is because in the first musical of the movie, mirabable says that Dolores can hear from a mile away, and then we see Dolores on a cliff. THEN 10SECONDS LATER WE SEE DOLORES CARRYING BOXES IN CASITA. COINCIDENCE? i think NOT.

  9. ahhh… There is no "Casito" in spanish… "Casa" and its diminutive "Casita" are femmenine nouns… There is no "Caso". Even if the spirit of the father was in fact in the house, it would still be a "Casa" or "Casita"

  10. Jared Bush also debunked the door thing saying that it changes with how the family changes, which is why Alma isnt Alma or Madre and is Abuela,

  11. did anybody notice that Mirabel after touching the candle wiped her hands on her dress leaving the "magic" on her dress so she didnt get a door? while the others got one because they didnt wipe it on their clothes?!

  12. I like this theory but there’s one thing that bothers me it’s the fact that mriabel didn’t get a door until the end of the movie. If Abuela has the same gift as Mirabel then why did she not get a door. I think it is cause abuela lost sight of what was important, as said in the movie (I think ) Thank you for reading this.

  13. hi! i think her gift is acutally speed when she is singing, "waiting on a miracle" she is so fast that everybody is frozen and, she is faster than light, when the kids are holding the lights.

  14. In my opinion, mirabel's gift is like the house, like litterally, idk how to explain it.
5:40 the word "casita" is femenine and it doesn't mean they think its a woman, in spanish casita wourd mean like "little house" (comes from someone who speaks spanish)

  15. Film Theory: Antonio IS FOREVER A KID and also IMMORTAL (Encanto)

ok first of all i think this because antonio's door has him as a kid
so if antonio is always a kid would that make him immortal? idk

  16. I still don't think Camilo has a grown up door though. That's one thing that stuck me. Like yes they all have grown up doors except the boys in my opinion. Though people have said before his gift ceremony that the same aged cousins were very close… so maybe it just that he was the first one to get a Mirabel door then.
