15. We will never understand why treat some people their dogs like that. Takis you are te best and come always to the right time. It's such a lovely dog he will be very happy with you and your team❤️❤️

16. I wonder if the owner did the best for the doggie by taking him where he knew Takis would take him to his shelter. That person could have abandoned him on the street of the town or tied him in a remote area where he would never be found. It's awful for people to abandon their animals, but that person had concern about what would happen to the doggie I think. I'm just so glad Takis found him! He is a really sweet little doggie! His life is going to get really good now! God bless you Takis!!!

17. Poor dog, he is at the same time afraid and happy that someone is talking to him. To be true, of all the places to abandon a dog, maybe close to the shelter shows a bit of interest in the dog’s fate…

26. The cruel monsters who abandon their animals are hardly likely to read these comments, but they are gutless apologies for human beings, someone knows who they are and they must be fined heavily and put in in prison, the Greek laws are too lax which allows them to get away with it.

30. I cannot understand these special evil breed of humans. Ok, so they cannot look after him but why abandon him in the middle of nowhere! Could have called Takis. He is such a beautiful baby, God knows how long he was here. Thank God for Takis. I wish for a lot of happy adoptions in the coming year, who will actually love and take care if these innocent babies ❤️💜❤️💜

To be honest after seeing so many videos of Takis finding dogs abandoned and chained up in obscure places that people don’t usually frequent, or abandoned alone in the mountains to fend for themselves, or left to roam the city streets risking being hit by a car or Takis rescuing dogs chained up “guarding” an area a with insufficient water, food, shelter or companionship…

    I find myself unable to judge the owners who abandoned this dog too harshly. Sure it’s not a good thing. That pup probably thought his owners would come back for him. Too loyal and loving to realise they betrayed his trust…

    Yet they cared enough to leave this pup literally right outside Crete’s best animal shelter. And they left him on the side of the road leading in, guaranteeing that either Takis, his volunteers or staff would find him quickly and that Takis would take him in.

    Granted it would have been better to surrender to dog to Takis directly but as far as dog abandonments go, this isn’t too bad.

    It’s a helluva lot better than what most people who decide to get rid of their pets do.
