I stopped watching MSM news because of the Nomikis. Could we have somebody less partisan and more of a critical thinker? I'm sure she can get jobs on other sites more appropriate for her. I know Ryan is pretty far left, but it's clear he's making a good effort, and I really appreciate that!
Was the break in to the state house during the Kavenaugh hearing not a similar event to Jan 6th? They were literally scratching at the doors and screaming, and eventually broke in try and stop a supreme court hearing.

Good God, I cannot stand Nomiki anymore. I've totally lost all respect that I might have had for her.
I can't understand what anybody thinks that Nomiki brings to this show that has any value. The point of Rising is to cut through the prevailing narratives and speak to people across the divide about important topics in ways where we can find common ground.
It's about finding ways to bring left and right together in a forum where each can talk AND listen and not just hurling invectives at each other.
I'm a conservative but in the time that I've been watching this show, and Krystal and Saagar's new show, I have learned so much and been so impressed with people like David Sirota, Max Alvarez, BJ Grey, Nina Turner and many others because even though I disagree with them on a lot of topics, I feel that they want to solve the same problems I want to solve, and I genuinely believe they are the kind of people who would try to find common ground with me.
I get none of that from Nomiki. To me, she just comes off as another petulant, bitter, closed minded, entitled millennial who hates everyone older than herself and everyone who doesn't agree with her. I wish they'd find someone better to fill that chair.
Konst complains that Congress "is not responding to the crises of society" but fails to acknowledge that Jan 6th happened because half the country has lost faith in the election process. Congress not only failed to recognize that, they doubled down and decided to try and take control of the whole election process, is threatening to reshape the Supreme Court and do away with the filibuster to take over the Senate. Those people REALLY can't read the room.

The legal theory is that the vice president has the authority to voice objections to the electoral count. In 2017 Biden chose not to use that power and in 2021 Pence chose not to use it. It doesn't undermine our republic because Congress still gets the final say.
