  1. I think it's important to note: The existence of the occult and superstition does not actually prove the existence of real magic in the light world. And the way Catti talks about spells seems to fall more into the unseen, traditional magic associated with witchery and good luck charms. Less to do with more fantasy-esque monster magic we see in undertale and the dark world.

I would also like to mention: MK and Snowy mention Kris saying something/having some kind of reaction about the bunker that made Snowy weary of it. And we know that Asriel, Dess, Noelle, and Kris all used to go exploring in the woods together. It may be possible that they were exploring the bunker, and something happened that led them all to rush out, accidentally leaving Dess behind. That would explain why Noelle seems to be searching for her. based off of the calendar in her room that has all of the days marked "25th", being the potential results for searching "December Holiday"

  2. I have a mini theory. I think the reason why Asgore got fired is because Noelle's mother (The Mayor) may have been struck with grief when Dess went missing/died, and in her grief, decided to blame Asgore (whether he actually played a role in it or not) and fire him.

  3. when Catti mentions “darkness” in reference to Noelle, she’s referring to Susie. she literally says “im talking about Susie” when talking to Kris about Noelle slipping into the darkness, pretty much making the analogy that Noelle has been crushing on Susie

  4. I think that your theory on what happened to dess could be possible but in my personal opinion, instead of noelle casting snowgrave in the light world, everyone just gets caught in a terrible blizzard while exploring in the forest and everyone was able to make it out alive accept for dess. this theory just keeps the realism of the light world in tact because it does not look like monsters can use magic in deltarune accept for in the dark world

  5. Something I see being overlooked quite a bit, no where does it imply or say that the dark world in chapter one was kris' first dark world, just Suzy's, I think Kris has been making these dark worlds for a long time, and that's what's in the bunker along with dess and maybe Asriel, I would say asgore found out and did something drastic and that's why he was removed from the force but that really wouldn't make sense with the way asgore and Kris interact

  6. That could be a possible theory. But I just considered that Asgore cheated on Toriel with Rudolf… and now Rudolf contracted HIV. LOL I'm joking, I don't think Asgore has HIV. But it might be a theory, or Asgore just sends flowers to those who he likes. Doesn't matter if it's friendship or dating, he just is that kind of guy.

  7. not in regards to deltarune, but in undertale, most people say asgore kills the children, but none of them even made it to mtt resort .
Literally, they were killed before reaching asgore.

  8. I think your theory is right, but instead of Dess dying, she hid in the abandoned bunker in a desperate attempt to get out of the cold and got locked in, and she’s been weak like her father and unable to call for help.

  9. I don’t think spells are in the light world (also in UT Toriel doesn’t use her stove but in DT she does) After all it’s catty. And the way she pauses before saying protection spells it’s probably superstitious stuff. Also it’s likely that Dess is still alive. It is commonly believed the secret messages hidden in the code are from Dess, probably trapped in the Bunker at the south of town. Which could explain why Kris is so uncomfortable and scared of it, as it’s implied by snow drake that an accident happened there.

  10. Theory: If "Dece" (Noelle's mom/sister) is short for December, maybe that's would be the reason Noelle lost the spelling bee because the word was December. In the cutscene of the spelling bee she dropped at the floor and looked like she was crying which means something happened to "Dece" that scared Noelle.

  11. Ok I'm at 7.57 and I want to say something before I forgot. I don't think asgore is responsible of dess death or being lost. And Im even almost sure that something happened between dess and noelle and that was the reason of dess lost. Because we know that the spells are reflective of real world, and snowgrave should be sorta something like that. Im not sure but I will repeat, I don''t think Asgore is in with dess lost or death. (Sorry if my english is bad)

edit: Oof. Just 1 sec later you said the same thing xd

  12. see, asgore MIGHT have killed dess, but he also might have had an affair with rudy, which would explain why the mayor doesn't like him(And fired him), and why tori is so upset, and why he's trying to patch things up

  13. Issues I see in this theory; 1. Noelle is traumatized at a very young age regarding her sistet, as shown by birdly, implying Rudy would've had been ill for almost/ a full decade, and it implied that he has only been ill for a short while. 2. It is impossible for noelle to cast snowgrave without the ring of thorns, and it also requires a lotta murder for leveling. 3. Kris didn't get noelle to cast snowgrave. You did. It is specified that it is not kris' voice, and it is cannon that you control them as far as I can see, 4. What's up with the "casts it in stress" theory? She doesn't cast it due to stress, she casts it because you tell her to. 5. Toriel treats asgore similarly in ut, after years or decades afterwards of seeing each other,so I find it doubtful that it is that fresh of a divorce, 6.Magic outside of the dark world is seemingly non-cannon, otherwise healing rudy would be a fairly paultry task, and 7. She sticks around cold magic and cold areas because theming, as in her families gig is winter and Christmas, so its probably just good vibes. Last points a bit pedantic, but eh.

  14. Quick question that always confused me, why does everyone assume the other humans were children as well? Was there dialogue or something that I missed?

  15. I can see a blizzard happening instead of snowgrave I don't think that magic can be used in the light world toriel stove is clean in undertale because she uses fire magic to cook but not in Deltarune

  16. I 100% believe that Toby watches videos like this and if that was going to be what happened it's not now.
And if it wasn't, it is now.

  17. There was something in chapter 2 that made me think. When you gather all the toys in the classroom and bring it to the dark world, it says you "You gathered all the junk off the floor… and turned it into a giant dusty ball." which made me think. In Undertale, dust is what monsters turned into when they died. I thought the two might be connected somehow.

  18. i'm not sure i agree that Dess is dead – after all, we have a graveyard in the town but she doesn't have a headstone. rather, i think she's missing and, while she hasn't been officially declared dead (otherwise there might be a headstone or some sort of memorial dedicated to her in town), pretty much everyone's given up on finding her alive. given the way Noelle reacted to the word "December" in Birdly's flash back, we can see she was still quite young when Dess vanished, so it must have been many years since it happened. i do agree that Asgore failed to find her though, leading to his firing and Toriel starting to hate him. and i'd never made the connection between that and Rudy's illness before!

  19. thas is a very nice theory.

also about Kris .. we know that he is The Knight, especially what happened in ch2 end.

what if what happened in the dark world .. happened that day you said about Noelle castin Snowgrave in the Light world.

  20. Personally, i tend to lean in the direction of a traffic accident. Possibly during a snowstorm.

The dark world in chapter two seems to reflect so much of Noelle's lived experience. The overbearing queen mirrors her mother, the moon is a baseball, as Dess apparently liked baseball, an entire section dedicated to spelling out december. However, such a prominent theme this chapter is cars and traffic. Even before entering the dark world we get a traffic jam.

Furthermore… Asgore's car seems to be unused. It's all messy inside and just stands there. He was kicked off the force, and if anything would cause Toriel to hate him, it would be reckless endangerment, even if he didn't mean for anything bad to happen. It could explain the distance that formed between the Dreemurrs and the Holidays. Why Noelle and Rudy don't actually seem to be mad but Asgore seems afraid to face Rudy.

Dess was frozen like a deer in headlights.

(though it would be interesting if Noelle cast the spell that caused Asgore to get stuck in dangerous weather)

  21. I definitely think a tragedy hit that traumatized everyone involved, and I can see December having something to do with it, but I also think whatever happened has something to do with that bunker in the woods.. You don't just throw in that whole cutscene for no reason. Something happened down there and my best guess is that the two events are related.
