  1. I have a 2nd gen hybrid, his parents are a corn snake and a Honduran/brooks cross, I bought him at an expo in 2018 as hatchling and now he’s about 2 or 3yrs old and just over 4ft, I’m currently housing him in a 40 gallon 🙂

  2. I'm very wary of hybridisation due to what's happened with it in hamsters. Essentially it's very difficult to find a "pure" winter white or Campbell's dwarf because they have been bred together so much. Most hamster breeders are unethical in their practices so this really hasn't helped since the breeders don't care about the bloodlines. This has led to these hybrids having shorter lifespans and an increased risk to diabetes and neurological conditions. I really don't want it to get to that point with reptiles, all it takes is a few mistakes. Besides they're so interesting and beautiful already, especially with morphs which I consider to be much less damaging, I really don't understand the point. Just my two cents.

  3. Should've talked about inbreeding depression, bottlenecking, genetic linkage, genetic drift and so on. Would be interesting to know the opinion on morphs of a geneticist; I have the impression that the genetic understanding of most people in the hobby doesn't exceed Mendelian inheritance.

  4. Hi there hope everyone is having a excellent day I had a question I have 7 leopard geckos and they all hate bedding do you think there is a way to change there minds because when I put bedding in there the freak out and scream and I don’t want to add stress

  5. I have a very important question I completely understand if you don’t respond but my leopard gecko Noah who you convince me or told me the most natural way was to use above 10 kidding it’s not recently been doing well he’s not coming out to bask he staying in his hot hide which is only about 80° and he’s barely even eating do you have any suggestions let me know

  6. I want to be the best keeper I can be, so its kind of a relief that others struggled and made mistakes too
Passionate about abronias… thats my dream is to have as many abronia species as possible and keep them successfully
But there's barely any information of YouTube, and I'm not going to try and keep them until I know as much as I can about them.. information is scarce though.

  7. Awesome podcast! I'm a beginner in the hobby, and am currently gathering everything to make bioactive vivariums. I have a crested gecko and two whites tree frogs (both in 18×18×24s)
I'm so lucky that I have access to YouTube and the wealths of knowledge in the reptile hobby.

  8. Good video. Great point on quarantine tubs and "industrial" operations as temporary and/or disease control solutions. One of the most popular rack producers meet veterinary standards for sanitization. Freedom Breeder racks are built to allow sanitization of every surface.

One nitpick: you cannot breed out or cull the wobble from spider. Many have tried and none have succeeded. From what we know about these mutations in jag and other expressions it is entirely developmental.

  9. Great show, Dillon. Congrats on getting married. Personally, I'm not a fan of morphs and, especially, hybrids. But, I do see both sides of the coin on this topic.
