15. Notice at 0:37 when he pulls the slide of his pistol back, it makes the complete sound, both sliding backwards and forwards. But you can see that he hasn’t chambered the round completely and the slide makes a third noise again. What you heard is called Foley, it’s when sound effects are added in editing to allow the audience to hear sounds that the camera didn’t pick up or picked up too quietly. You see it a lot in nature documentaries, people will spend hours trying to get the perfect sound that would match up to what is being shown, even if what’s shown wouldn’t sound exactly the same.
