I live about 2 hours from Lake Charles! Some of y’all don’t realize but Hurricane Laura DEVISTATED EVERYONE! Everything is damaged! Going over the bridge in Lake Charles all u see is blue tarps on nice, new, expensive houses! Such a sad situation! Pray for them everyday🙏🏻

Dude that flood came out of nowhere. My roommates and I were just hanging out in our apartment since it was raining. I went outside to get something and could see the water was up about 6 inches. I went back out an hour later and it was over 2 feet. I had to move my car and help push a couple of my neighbors cars uphill so the water didn't flood the inside and their pipes. It calmed down later that day, so we went driving just to see what happened. It looked like an apocalypse scenerio with how many abandoned vehicles that were left dead in the road and shoulders. Some where even just completely flipped on their sides in ditches

There are so many of us that have been affected by Laura, Delta, Ice storm, and the Floods. It’s each other that keeps us going.
This is the first coverage if seen mentioning the flooding. It's a shame it doesn't get the attention or response it deserves.

I'm from Lake Charles. This is more than incredibly frustrating. I was actually insulted by that remark. Frustrating is losing your keys or hotel key not working or kids not listening. This is absolute devastation. The people here deserve better than this.
