  1. what? why couldn't you get pictures of the actual ship? to tough? instead you used pictures of third world ferry ships, highly deceptive and shame on you!

  2. I am concerned about how many of these tragedies are the invariable end result of drunken captains who had issues they wanted to hide ? Including the one that did the right thing and went down with the Titanic.

  3. If you want more information as to why so many people do not believe the official reports regarding the Estonia sinking, I highly recommend the 2020 documentary on it. The way that the Swedish government behaved toward the survivors and the families of the victims was criminal. At least there is a new investigation going on as a result of the documentary investigation and hopefully if what we were told was a lie and a coverup, the truth will come out.

  4. Captain and crew are a disgrace, whatever happened to the captain and crew being responsible for the safety of their passengers? this seems to be the norm anymore, as an old sailor I just shake my head…….keep on…….wiley coyote

  5. In 1945 100:000 men fought to there death on one of the Japanese islands against the Americans, only 13 Japanese soldiers came off that island as they believed it was a disgrace to surrender, now that’s bravery..Then you have the captain and crew of the seawol who only had thought for saving themselves? I couldn’t live with that on my shoulders, it just shows all what’s wrong in the world these days..DISGRACEFUL 👎

  6. I've seen a couple of doc's on this…. The captain of this ferry should be handed over to the families! Telling all these poor children to stay in their cabins while he runs for his life. Absolutely disgusting and incomprehensible. There are no words to describe the actions of the crew. My heart breaks for the parents 😔😭

  7. What a waste of time on this! 2.00 plus minutes BEFORE it starts! Then bouncing around with exclamation on causes!
I am selecting "don't recommend this channel"!

  8. Thanks for the upload, RIP to the victims and condolences to their families. No respect for captains who straight up abandon their passengers. Not sure where the narrator got "Gigantic" from, he meant Britannic.

  9. I remember feeling so outraged and angry when I heard about the captain of the Costa Concordia had a bond the ship and had left his crew and passengers to fend for themselves this man was a coward the death of may people on board his ship and blood are on his hands he even refused to go back when the coastguard scolded at him and told him to go back .

  10. Not all of these are accurate. The pictures don't always match the accident at hand, and the information isn't always correct. The Estonia is particularly terrible. It didn't catch fire as the video clips used would suggest, and it wasn't simply an unlocked door that led to the flooding.
The ship was caught in a storm that first destroyed the locking mechanisms on the bow visor, and then the visor was ripped free along with the watertight door. It was an issue that had been previously seen on other ships of the same class.

  11. i love a good disaster.. people make disasters and disasters get rid of people. people are the worst animal on the planet. a good cull is the way forward

  12. The vessel Sewol had been refitted to add a large number of cabins in order to boost revenue on voyages, unfortunately, the work was carried out without the services of a Naval Architect and no stability calculations or tests had been carried out to ensure that the refit didn't alter the vessel's centre of gravity!

The addition of so many cabins high up in the superstructure adversely affected the vessel's stability, which was made considerably worse by the deliberate overloading of vehicles, cargo freight and passengers.

The Captain was in his quarters and the ship was being steered by a junior Officer who made a sharp turn which over balanced the vessel, worsening it's already altered COG and causing the cargo to shift, creating an irrevocable listing which would eventually sink the ship!

Rather than give the order to abandon ship, the Captain and Crew repeatedly ordered the passengers to stay in their cabins, whilst they themselves abandoned their own ship.

Because of the culture of blind obedience to authority figures in South Korea, the teachers and pupils obeyed the orders to remain in their cabins, even when they knew that to do so would result in their deaths, as verified in the videos that they made and their final goodbye phone calls, messages, videos and texts.

Many such videos were recovered from the hundreds of cell phones recovered from the wreck when it was examined on the dockside after being salvaged.

The Coast Guard repeatedly ordered fishermen who were rescuing survivors to leave the area, whilst obstructing the genuine civil rescue that was underway.

There has never been an explanation as to why the Captain and crew ordered everyone to remain in their cabins for their own safety, but it was probably done to ensure that the cowardly Captain and crew could escape into a lifeboat ahead of all the passengers, which is exactly what they did!

  13. This biographic is pretty comprehensive for having so many stories in it. Unfortunately it's also pretty badly made. It contains many clips from totally unrelated disasters/sinkings but presents them as if they were part of the one they are talking about.

I like this documentary. Some parts are really good. But it's not very good really unless you know to take it with a grain of salt. Also the conspiracy theory on the Estonia is featured too prominently. It's all but proven the ship was badly designed. 6/10. No like. No dislike.

  14. There's a docu on the first part called the diving bell its on youtube. Also some people were still alive after it sank because of air pockets. One girl took a selfie with friends before in sunk. When her body was recovered she had changed clothes, probably into drier ones.

  15. hi guys! i’m so sorry to be annoying – i’m a small youtuber looking for support, i’m willing to support everyone who also supports me. let’s connect ❤️
