the MAJOR issue with that setup is the "EXTENSION" you guys have on the trailer hitch. it AMPLIFIES the stress on the hitch since it put the basket so far away from the cars attachment point. need to ditch that bulky extension. heavy and amplifies stress too much. just the hitch and the basket is all that should be used. dont take offense, building shit is cool, but find something already designed for the job and replicate it. you can build your own. just follow a proven blue print instead of guessing your way forward.. let someone else waste there money failing there way forward through a design. just steal there design lol
yeah youll need to box it in. with wheels/ bike youll gett wobble on bumps and itll flex until it bends and hits road. need full box
in order to hitch to not wobble with hitch added you need the support youre adding to be a full box tube. angle is good but only half good, need all 4 sides, 2 just wot cut it sadly.
