Nope I would normally back up the bikers on this but that was 100% your fault. You knew the distance of the other rider even after the truck cut you off. Yet you proceeded to accelerate without looking to see if your right was clear to change lanes and to gauge how far the other rider was after you had been cut off.
Again you disregarded these 2 things, then you continued to accelerate, proceeded to look at the other driver and ended up catching up to your fellow man who kept a steady speed and ran into him. I know your fellow rider didn't slow down because his brake lights didn't go off at any point in the vid.
