7. I ride a motorcycle and I will admit mmost of my close calls came from something I was doing that's the reason why I watch these videos to keep me in check before I get on my ride

26. The general attitude it seems, of most ring-ding riders in these videos is that their safety on the road is other vehicles responsibility. Whilst it IS the duty of every driver or rider to consider other people on the road, too many ricekateers ride recklessly and rage when other vehicles don't see them or they come across a bad driver.
    Riders should never be scared, but 100% paranoid and ride accordingly. Murphy's Law and an "everyone's out to get you" mindset will greatly aid in avoiding becoming road pizza. I also see riders 1st instinct is to reach for the horn or doing a rev-bomb. Neither one of those will help avoid catastrophe in that split second. Every rider should practice emergency braking in a vacant lot to where they can quickly decelerate AND swerve around an object. No matter how long you've been riding, this is something that should always be practiced.
    Lane splitting should be illegal in CA (only state where it's "permitted"), and NO, lane splitting is NOT legal in California. For it to be LEGAL, a specific law must define it and there is none. CA AB 51 introduced GUIDLINES, or suggestions how splitting should be done, but that's it. So, even though it's not specifically LEGAL in CA, it IS permitted/allowed. or not specifically ILLEGAL either. A cop can ticket someone for unsafe riding/reckless if they just think you're being unsafe whilst splitting. CA riders abuse the hell out of "the guidelines" and often use it as an excuse to dangerously speed in between traffic even going the speed limit. It should be illegal (IMO only while traffic is moving) just because it WAY to dangerous.
    Oops, went WAY too long with that comment, sorry in advance. Maybe someone got something useful out of it anyway.
