Prepper Classroom: Line Gear

Spread The Viralist

Today on the Bear Independent show, Bear is in the classroom talking about Line Gear.

This topic is quintessential to preparedness for all doomsday preppers, homesteaders, survivalists, militia, minuteman, city prepping, rural prepper, urban prepper, normal people, or looking to prepare for SHTF WROL TEOTWAWKI or natural disaster. Whether your own personal SHTF is the 2020 elections, economic collapse, civil unrest, martial law, food crisis, civil war, food shortage, EMP or CME, black swan event, or whatever, a prepper needs to be prepared for this topic. ***

Regardless if you’re a Viking Preparedness prepper, Canadian Prepper, into city prepping, or just normal people, you need to be ready for SHTF WROL TEOTWAWKI, which is why we’re discussing this topic today. Common prepper concerns are bug out bag, bugging out in general, food storage, security, communications, emergency preparedness, homesteading, budget, gardening, bushcrafting, end times, Torah, get home bag, survival, EDC, and all the things we discuss at this channel. ***

Subscribe for weekly Brit Hadasha (New Testament) and No Roots No Fruit Torah Study (Old Testament) Shabbat Bible readings, updates on SHTF TEOTWAWKI WROL Survival Tips, Homestead Updates, Tribal Leadership, Gear Reviews, Gardening Tips, Real World Experience and a complete lack of third-party advertising and hypothetical BS! ***

We believe at this channel that Yeshua is Messiah, that Jesus is the Christ, the anointed of YHWH. We teach and preach the prophets and the Torah of YHWH as given to Moshe (Moses) and retaught by Yeshua Messiah, Jesus Christ. It is our doctrinal foundation as Torah Observant Christians that we should keep the Torah to the best of broken ability, and not abuse the Grace of the atoning sacrifice of our Messiah Yeshua, Jesus the Christ; and that we become one with YHWH The Father through the Son, Yeshua Messiah. We are not militant Hebrew Israelites who have corrupted the words of YHWH The Father to suit their racial and political ideologies; we are whole Bible believers who keep The Way as taught by Yeshua Messiah, the Torah of YHWH The Father. ***

These same teachings are reinforced by other channels here on YouTube, including Pastor Joe Fox and Shofar Mountain/Viking Preparedness, Zach Bauer at New2Torah, Paul Nison at Torah Life Ministries, 119 Ministries, Rob Skiba, and Monte Judah at Lion and Lamb Ministries. The awakening of The Way and the Torah is happening this very moment at YHWH The Father calls His people back to Him.***

  1. Please, a video on knowing when to wear a Chest Rig vs Plate Carrier would definitely be awesome. Gotta try to get one before they ban those too in my State lol.

  2. You should try the byrd raven 2 in bd1 steel… matches up to any spyderco for 70 bucks Canadian, so that's like 7 bucks American lol

  3. Bear, I've One-Upped you on the pocketknife. Gerber Folding Tanto, 55 bucks at China-Mart. Most expensive pocketknife I've ever owned..Been Worth every DIME…

  4. Bear! Been to your website and I will be picking up a couple of your items.

Have you ever thought to accumulate all your recipes on “how to” cook with stored grains or barleys? I am all about putting the items up to store but my knowledge of what to use them for is limited and if you provided a “memory stick” with the recipes or suggestions on what to use them it would be greatly appreciated.

We are doing a gathering this summer for our little MAG and we are going to be going over the nixtamalization process for corn. This we owe to you and appreciate you sharing that info.

  5. Hey brother, this may be a stupid question but I'll ask anyway.
Do you wear any body armor when you're out in public and if so, what kind do you have ?

  6. I took you advice and rucked to a safe place I have about 7 miles from home. Full load out plate carrier ruck bag , battle belt side arm and rifle. it took me about 8 hours moving thru the woods in town so no one would see me . I had a friend pick me up after I got there as this was a live run to see if I could make it with out the Police being called lol. lesson learned was your age will tell on you and you must listen and travel light

  7. I was taught to look at the "line gear" or "gear tier" differently

Combat Order – the clothing (combats – Canadian term for combat uniform), layer that you are wearing. Combat shirt, pants, underwear, hat, footwear, and pocket or belt items. This layer may or may not include an armoured helmet.

Assault Order – Chest Rig, Assault Vest, Plate Carrier. This layer does not necessary need to include soft or hard body armour. If not worn with Patrolling Order, you may include a duty / gun belt for a holster and spare magazines. This layer would include magazine pouches, medical pouch, utility pouch(es) hydration pouch, communication pouch. This layer may also include an "assault pack" that can double as a hydration carrier and contain mission specific items. Assault Order should allow the individual to sustain themselves for up to 18 to 24 hours.

Patrolling Order – Includes Combat Order and Assault Order. Patrolling Order is also made up of Belt Kit, Webbing Belt, Deuce Gear. A belt with magazine pouches, utility pouches, canteen pouch, medical pouch, survival kit. Patrolling Order allows the individual to carry items like a rain poncho, shelter kit, and other items. This also may include an "assault pack", Patrolling Order should allow the individual to sustain themselves for 24 to 48 hours.

Marching Order – The is the addition of a Rucksack, Bergen, Backpack and all the appropriate contents for Mission, Climate, Environment, to prolong the operational capability of the individual to 72 to 96 hours. This would include meals, spare clothing items, sleeping and shelter equipment, needed environmental equipment (parka, wet weather clothing, spare boots), meals, repair and maintenance items. Bulky mission specific equipment or tools.

The specific items that are packed in each layer are Mission, Climate, Time of Year, Topography and Situation dependent. Each layer will have planned redundancy for some items. The British have a saying live off your bergen (rucksack), fight off of your belt kit, survive off of your smock (combat coat)

Armour may not be needed in every scenario. A four day patrol with a planned three day Observation task, armour may add too much weight. Similarly for shorter taskings where vehicles are able to be used, Armour both Body and Head may be required or used.

  8. the problem with redundancy is its dead weight(likely never used). people who are green tend to carry tons of extra just in case,as you build experience and first hand training you figure out what you need and what don't. a perfect example is the movie "platoon" about 10 minutes.
Also the "10 C's" is more catered towards "bushcraft" (making things in the woods around a fire while sipping a soy latte and smoking weed). most civilians donning battle rattle will be to provide neighborhood/community security in groups. ..in their neighborhood.. I don't know how much crafting up bushes will be happening. I also don't foresee walking much more then a few miles or otherwise why not take a quad/side by side or your truck…at the minimum ride a bike. but walking is pretty inefficient. with all that weight I've seen some of the fittest guys run about as fast as that fat, slow kid in gym class..

  9. I've humped many miles with way too much gear, my hobbies include back packing and mountaineering, and in order to make miles you need to train miles and learn to suffer well. Oh, don't think walking a flat grade is the same as bushwacking or covering mountain terrain. It ain't.

  10. If I feel the need to wear my plate carrier my tactical vest with my edc is going right over it I wouldent take one with out the other just makes sence

  11. Something I have been kicking around in my head after watching a few other prepper type channels. I have seen where locust have been devouring crops on a biblical scale in Africa and Asia, rains on a scale most are saying is unprecedented, then the crops failing all over the planet and the UN warning of food scarcity. After all of that you throw in this virus which requires the population to be quarantined for their own good of course. The UN, WHO, and others are calling for a global solution to a global problem, nationalism will not work.
Could the virus be a smoke screen for the coming food scarcity? So far this virus is less deadly than the flu, but its being hyped up more than anything, even more than Ebola. If governments can keep people in their houses of the own will, its easier to control the population so they dont riot when they find out they cant get food. Something to think about.

  12. I wanted to email you but I can't find your email address so I'll just say it here and hope you read it.
I started watching your videos to learn and collect information about the entire prepping World basically. At first I guess your demeanor kind of came off as a*hole-ish to me but the more I watched the more I realized that's not the case at all. You talk a lot about prepping and your experiences in the real world but, kind of mixed in all your videos, you seem to preach a little bit about life. My point being that the prepping information you put out there for us is definitely appreciated by me but some things you said about real life s** straight up registered with me. I just discovered you recently so I'm trying to catch up on watching all your videos but I just want to say thank you Bear, for real, you have open my mind and made me look at a lot of things from a different perspective. I appreciate your videos and your wisdom on all subjects you speak about. You seem like a genuinely good person and I honestly wish I could meet people like you. So thanks brother, keep up the "tremendous" work.

  13. The ONLY 5 essentials of survival: Don't let anyone tell you different

    1) Water (container, purification)
    2) Food (cook pot, utensil)
    3) Fire (starter, tinder)
    4) Cutting tool
    4) Cordage
    5) Shelter (tarp, poncho, sleep system, your clothing/footwear is included in shelter)

  14. Your Hilarious. I need to try the pink out to drink coffee. Ha ah just kidding. Love the humor seriously.
On another item. Thanks truly for sharing your knowledge with everyone. Hopefully this type of video continues to help others get ready for any unexpected event that may happen in order to protect thier family friends

  15. Hey Bear, I was just on your website and want to order a couple of t-shirts. Can you tell me what they are made of? I’m asking because if it’s 100% cotton I need 2XL, but if it’s 50/50 or 60/40 I need a 3XL. Thanks

  16. For the [Health][ Safety] and [Well Being .]. These three words used to gather does CANCEL the Consitution..
And VP Pence used them in one sentence.
    It on folks. Bugout.

  17. A good way to carry a small med kit on you as EDC without having a ifak hanging off your belt is an ankle trauma kit they are made by all different companies and most will carry chest seals packing gauze and a tourniquet you can't fit anything big in it but its better then nothing
