Wash. Animal Rescue League: An Animal Shelter Like No Other
Spread The Viralist

My friends at the Washington Animal Rescue League, an innnovative shelter, have allowed me to upload their official video. I hope you’ll take a look and see how animal care should be done, as described by then Executive Director Scotlund Haisley. I also hope you might subscribe to my channel. At the end of the month, on the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, I have something special in the works.

  1. Wow it's the Hilton hotel for animals. This is a really nice shelter I think a lot of shelters need to learn from this. Awesome work u guys do. God bless all of staff and animals.

  2. Our Creator made covenant with all of His prophets and commanded us all to pay 10% of our income to needy relatives, fatherless children, homeless, hungry and deprived people. That means you have already took care of our 1 million homeless relatives sleeping in the streets, 50 million hungry relatives waiting for their next meal, 19 million fatherless children, and 17 million children going to school without breakfast and now you are taking care of His other creatures! . . . Remember you can never ever escape from our Creator, as long as you live. Happiness is submission to the laws of our land Lord.

  3. Great Video. Thank you people like you are out there helping the animals. You're giving animals a second chance. We have ONLY 5 MILLION VIEWS.. our goal its 10 MILLION I don’t have much experience with computer I’m just a old Mann and try to help a few animal to get a better life I learn every day so I can help them. We try to raising awareness of ,Spaying and neutering, and make some money on YOUTUBE.. 100% of the net ad revenue generated from this video is donated towards improving the lives of the animals at the shelter. The funds are used to..provide food,Spaying, neutering..and any other supplies needed by the animals. ,,PLEASE SUBSCIBED US,,I have five dogs myself, all SPCA or rescue dogs and seven Forster Dogs.  ".Saving just one pet won't change the world ..but, surely, the world will change for that one pet..                                      Bob Friends for the love of Animals

  4. I am so impressed. This is what shelters should be like everywhere. The dogs and cats all had hope in their eyes, so relaxed and happy. Fantastic.

  5. There is a report about a 'shelter' which operates at the other end of the spectrum: Search youtube.com for Forrest City, Arkansas Animal Shelter
Don't watch if you are sensitive and compassionate as I am. I just watched it and I am incredibly upset. These are some very flawed people without conscience, who view animals as objects that do not feel. They should NEVER be in a position of responsibility. They should be exposed and PROSECUTED. Shelters must be staffed by people with compassion.

  6. And yes, there are some cruel places in the world, most of us are doing the best we can though. We're a non-profit organization. That means we depend on our community for support. Try and remember that. And hopefully we'll be able to institue changes like these, but until then I'll continue to do my best with what we have. Trust me, it's no picnic.

  7. I am so jealous! Hopefully someday our setup will be this great! To those complaining about how horrible their shelters are or that they aren't "no kill" shelters; tell me, exactly how much time/money have you donated to change that? We do our best with what we have, and that isn't much. Mine takes in EVERY animal we're brought, or that animal control brings in. I've been there 6 months and I've seen days when we receive 40 animals, and adopt out 6. We're only as strong as our community folks!!!

  8. Getting my cat at the shelter was one of my favorite days ever! It's so fun looking at all the animals and you get such a variety and you can really fall in love with an animal that will be right for you!

  9. I think its a damn shame that no one in America makes doggy burgers. It would take all these little ass pains out of their misery. I ate them all the time when i lived in Canada and they were delicious!!

  10. I adore this shelter so much right now. I've always loved animals and I've always wanted to open the biggest and best shelter ever, but this will be hard to beat! The animals aren't in any distress, and they look , much more appealing to adopt than the ones trapped in a prison-like cell. I have to say that this really inspires great ideas for shelters. Spay/Neutering for free is also a good sign of Breeder-Protest. If the sink is overflowing and the faucet is on, how do you stop the flow?

  11. If governments would stop spending all of their money on wars and start focusing on caring for the citizens, both human and animal, then all shelters would be like this. But that won't happen as long as humans keep looking to themselves for help and guidance. Thankfully these conditions won't last forever 🙂
